Xbox is looking into bringing its console exclusives to PC and handhelds in supported regions.

They're launching the service now with:

- Blinx: The Time Sweeper
- Conquer: Live and Reloaded
- Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
- Funzion Frenzy

Pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having easy-to-work-with versions of some Xbox exclusives since emulators for both consoles aren't at a level of compatibility that you can find with other emulators and the compatibility for physical copies on Xbox360 can also be a little limited or finicky. And I don't have any of their more modern systems where this compatibility is the big selling point, so having them on PC is nice

Do these have any form of keyboard support?

I've tried out Conker on my not particularly powerful computer, and it runs decently enough. Apparently these games use a port of XeO3 (Microsoft's Xbox 360 emulator from Xbox One), and some people have found ways to make it actually run Xbox 360 games

No, right now they require having a controller to play.

I have the XBOX Live PC Game Pass and saw Conker, Blinx, and Crimson listed and wondered what was going on there. It's a neat idea. Like when your XBOX 360 digital purchases started showing up in your XBOX one library. I'm curious to see how much those titles get played and the demographics of those players.

Are they actual ports or just some bullshit cloud play? If they're ports, when are they coming to the seven seas? Hopefully immediately.

They are emulated, not native ports. It's the same as playing these games on Xbox One or Series S/X. But they do run locally, yeah.

*Me praying to all deities known for it to advance enough for 360 so i can finally enjoy some Shump ports*

XBOX! Bring DOA4 to PC! And my Life is YOURS!

Strange how they call it "backwards compatibility" when it's just emulation, guess for marketing reasons

While this is good, i have a feeling game selection going to be extremely limited, not to mention only available on win 11

Gotta rope people into installing/getting the latest dogshit OS babbeh!~

Honestly, I'm just happy to see more attention being given to Rare's back catalog with Live & Reloaded

It's a shame they never added Raze's Hell. It's backwards compatible on 360 but not One/Series consoles. One of my favorite "budget" games ever. It came out for only $20.

They're probably going to add more.
I wonder if they'll just continue adding what's already available on One/Series to PC. I never bought the licensing excuse as to why they stopped the back compat program because only 60 or so OG Xbox games were made backwards compatible. A lot more Xbox 360 games were, however, so I could buy that argument there. That said, they should've continued adding 4K enhancements to games that didn't get them. I would've loved for The Darkness to receive a 4K enhancement since that game never got a PC port.

I've played Conker on my Windows 10 desktop. When I first launched it complained about me not having the latest version of Windows, but after clicking OK it just worked lol

Well, you know it's all about the money. They most likely felt it wasn't profitable to add more games. The og Xbox is not a very popular console. Sorry, man.

I have The Darkness for the Xbox 360. It's such a great game! That would be an awesome add.

It fooled me with the install. I should have known better. Of course it's emulation. And since that's the case, well.... why not just do it better yourself? So in that light, I also hope this helps improve emulation.

Not as exciting as decomps/recompilations and already existing emulators

They're late to the party
