Would anyone be interested in playing PS2 games online, like Star Wars Battlefront or TimeSplitters? The game sizes are pretty small by today’s standards, and it could be a great way to replay those classics, not just solo, but together. Imagine hanging out on Discord while jumping into some old-school multiplayer fun.

I think it’d be awesome to bring those games back to life with a community vibe. What do you think? Would you give it a try? We could vote on what we want to play and get everything ready for a weekend session or so. Once it’s all set up, it’s just a matter of downloading the ISO from here, which takes care of version control.

(I looked for a similar thread but could not find one)

I have set up Resident Evil Outbreak for me and my Wife, only the Account and some Options left... and Time haha
I'll also check if i can connect with the real PS2, just hilarious in my Mind that i will play with that and she with her Steam Deck.

Another Game i have interest in is the original Monster Hunter.

I’d love to find a way to play the Resident Evil Outbreak games online.

I have always been interested on that Resident Evil co-op game for the PS2, but I don't have the means to play it.

You are on the correct Webpage :) Here are some patched Versions hosted to play online and there are some nice explanational Videos on Youtube on where to create an Account and how to connect

Edit: Ah, there is also the Wiki to the Servers linked.

I didn’t realize this was a thing! Thanks

Not at all, no. But then, I don't play online at all, either. I'm the customer the modern publisher hates: The "single-player story-driven narrative" gamer who doesn't buy dlc unless it just happens to add significant story to the single-player game (like Future Redeemed for Xenoblade Chronicles 3)...or it makes certain parts of my anatomy go brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

No Problem :) i am glad that some super intelligent Fans got their Hands on and saved meanwhile many old Console Titles from being dead.

I hadn't the Interest/Opportunity to play them back then (i also had no trust in such Services), so i am at least able to maybe play then :D

I've been on and off playing Monster Hunter online thanks to the MHOldschool private server and it's genuinely been one of the best online multiplayer experiences I've had in a long time. The community is small but everybody is so nice and welcoming.

I like to sometimes it can just be difficult to find people to play with. Its crazy how comfortable people are paying to play consoles online these days.

I have my PS2 network adaptor all set up, but no games to play. What's good out there that's still available to play?

I love to play older games online. I prefer the simplicity. Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst is one of my favorites, it’s still quite active. Unfortunately, most of the PS2 private servers are not that active. I did play a few matches of Tony Hawk’s Underground. It was a blast.

I still play midnight club 3 online on pcsx2 all the time its still fun

That and also some people just dont emulate games or understand the value in it

of course, I'll be down for game nights if anyone wants to play shaolin monks, teen titans, narnia, tekken 5, dynasty warriors 5, or teenage mutant ninja turtles games
