Worst Final Bosses in Video Games.

Lol, I guess my forgetting his name is a testament to how crappy the boss is.

I had the right game, wrong boss. I was talking about FF II SNES, with Cecil and Kain.
yeah, it's my favorite one. zemus is legit just brought up about an hour before the final dungeon. there's one, and i mean, one; spot that foreshadows his existence. you'd miss it in the snes, psx, gba, and pixel remaster version. only the 3d version highlights it in the cutscene after the scripted golbez fight in the tower of zot.
i don't blame you in the slightest for forgetting him.

If you know, you know. If you don't, be grateful.
To make a long story short: shitty spectacle over substance that takes way too long to kill due to both the game's mechanical jank and a time slowdown gimmick.

Just the other day I fought Babel in SMT Devil survivor and I gotta say, the final boss secretly then putting you into another mission where you gotta fight every other boss in the game and then a super duper final boss whos stronger than any of them with no mp refill in between was a kick in the teeth
I started playing SMT Devil Survivor recently. Just learned about Skill Cracks

I would probably say Nyx Avatar from Persona 3. It's a pretty cool fight, but pretty long especially since one of my party members got hit with charm and healed Nyx Avatar with a Diarahan. Also, I died three times so I had to do the fight all over again.

As I was typing this, I suddenly remembered SMT Nocturne. Man, I died so many times in that fight.

The goddess in NG 3 Razor Edge, because of how hard she is

In that version you have to fill a line that is very long and to do that you have to kill like 100 enemies doing combos and pray that they don't kill you, the worst thing is that in the original version filling the bar is super easy because the tempo line is short and the AI is not that aggressive.

The last boss in the US version of Wonder Boy in Monster World on the Genesis. In the JP version, it's challenging but nothing you can't figure out, a little dodging and using the right spells. For the US, they added a conveyor belt floor (and I think it switches directions?) and big saw blades that go back and forth, so it goes from "oh, it felt good to beat this" to "boy, I'm glad I never have to do that again."

I'm bending the rules a little here, as Alex is an area boss and not a final boss, but I have to mention him because he is hands-down the worst boss I have ever encountered in a video game.

Some context first: like the other area bosses in Rogue Legacy, Alex is fought twice. The first encounter is his normal form and the second is his remixed form, which is a much harder encounter by design. In remix fights, the bosses have more health and are more aggressive, the arena is far more deadly, and you are forced to use a predetermined character instead of your own. In my humble opinion, the other three fights are challenging but fun. Alex, on the other hand, is like putting your dick in a vice for three hours.

Three hours, by the way, is how long it look me to finally beat this guy. Why? He farts out a Constant. Stream. Of. Adds. They are fucking everywhere. Trying to reposition to avoid Alex's giant, 4-way beam? There are adds in the way. Trying to kill the adds to make the fight more manageable? Alex will drop whatever he's doing to fart out more. Trying to teleport to the other side of the arena to avoid contact damage from Alex but it's a blind teleport because your field of vision doesn't extend that far? You're damn fucking right you're landing on top of an add. I couldn't even sleep that night because adds were staring at me from the corner of my bedroom.

Fuck Alex in his stupid, add-loving, flaming face.

Most bosses in Final Fantasy 2 are plain bad , I 2 shotted the chimera and just blasted everything that dared to stand in my way , no boss felt challenging at that point even the all scary emperor was taken care off TWICE so fast.

Like its so funny that its not even funny , I woke up got myself prepared for ending FF2 going through castle pandemonium with that epic theme in the background , how they keep making bangers even in underwhelming entries is beyond me , now I get to the emperor and Maria casts berserk 4 as firion I hit the emperor 4 times just 4 TIMES and he is already dead , im like "what? How....how? Where is the struggle? None from the crew even got downed ???????" That's my reaction at that moment with the struggles that were FF4 and 5 bosses I expected more but nope the very person you see in the intro cutscene is the emperor and the game builds him to be this very powerful sorcerer lol no just 4 hits from a mesarume blade and he is no longer alive :loldog what an absolute clown.

You know? Even a mentally ill clown was more challenging than this great emperor he is that BAD.

The boss fight with Joker at the end of Batman: Arkham Asylum is probably the worst boss battle I have ever played. I will forever adore that game, but having Joker turn into a monstrous Bane-like enemy jacked up on Titan juice just felt so out of place and odd for Mark Hamill's Joker.

Mother Brain in Metroid Zero Mission.
*maybe not the "worst" but it's definitely a fight that's made me walk away from finishing a handful of times.

Sigma in Mega Man X6 His First Form was terrible! He was a zombie a zombie as I use the Metal Anchor as X but as Zero the Rakokujin then he turns into a gold Terminator as he taken down with a Giga Attack or Ground Dash as X and Sentsuizan as Zero. Sigma was pathetic as all hell in X6.

My god! Me and my brother laugh so hard as Zeo Valmar so much he looked like a rejected Looney Tunes character!

that might be intentional, since it's a pain in the ass to get through the gate stages.
thematically, it's a good idea. sigma comes back and at some point, he starts degrading more and more until he's just a mindless machine that just kills whatever is nearby. similar to the antagonist of ffx.

Fable 2 because they treat it like a boss but it wasn't. The boss is so pathetic that if you take too long someone else will kill the boss for you.

Squeaky Squad always seemed like such a lame game to me, it's one of the few Kirby games i haven't touched and this video just made me want to play it even less.
It's not a bad game, but it's by far one of the weakest in the franchise and its story is so bad that it's funny.

i was hoping that fable 2 would be a step up from 3. i played and finished 3 before i started on 2, it was so weird going from 1 to 3. nearly no ui, spells recharge almost instantly. i had some lightning/ice[fire? i don't remember] combo and i spammed that for every fight when i got it. it's such a badly designed game.
started 2, but my 360 stopped working shortly after that. guess i'll just stick with the 1st one.

I remember that. Fable 2 was a disappointment overall. I don't understand why the Court from the first game was dropped. They were the most interesting pieces of lore that series ever conceived.
