Worst emulation experience(s)?

MAME. Seriously, MAME can go fuck itself, right off of a cliff.
Also N64, GC and Wii, when it comes to setting the controllers correctly on RetroArch. Other than the controls the Nintendo systems I listed work fine.

Dolphin is on RetroArch? It's easy to setup on the native app but I don't know how RA works for that.

Dolphin is great as a standalone emulator. But on RetroArch it's just a core and doesn't have 80% of the settings for controls as the stand alone.

I feel like Retroarch can be a huge pain in the ass with certain cores. I could not for the life of me get the CD Engine core to work for Rondo of Blood.

Works perfectly. Use 'beetle Supergrafx' And for whatever reason if you try to import content it wont show up in the playlist. So what I do, when that happens is just 'load content' then just tag it under favorites so you can get back to it easily.

i lost save data on my modded ps1 mini so many times that i stopped using it for anything but the games it came preloaded with. i have no idea why it kept losing save data for some games and not others but thats the way it goes i guess. 40 hour breath of fire iv save gone and ive just never went back to it which is a shame because the game is great

snatcher on the sega saturn also oddly has had weird hiccups anytime ive tried and emulate it. lost a 6 hour save on that one too. never had an issue with any other saturn game

UAE Wii (Amiga emulator for Wii)
Some browser flavor of MAME (awful sound)
Playing the original ZN2 arcade version of Tech Romancer on MAME (oof what a laggy mess)
86Box (even on my ASUS ROG Ally with a AMD Z1 Extreme, I still get slow down but at least it's less slowdown than my gaming laptop with a 4 GB VRAM gpu and 8 gigs of RAM)
Getting save files off the internet to work with PCSX3, any Saturn emulator, and Xemu
Trying to host DBZ BT3 emulated on PCSX2 and Dolphin on Parsec on my gaming laptop with only 8gb of RAM (when another person joined, the game lagged like it was no tomorrow, I recall a similar thing happening with a few other games)
