Will youtube ban me for using Brave?

I thought chrome doesn't allowed to use application ublock
They say this, but it works fine. Just keep the most recent build of ublock installed and you should have no problems.

Or maybe consider swapping to another browser? Most of them use Chromium as a base, but many are lighter and less resource-intensive than Chrome.

Switch to Firefox. Install Ublock Origin. Use these apps. Thank me later!

Might I add that I actually recommend switching over to LibreWolf. It's an open source fork of Firefox with all of the security and privacy features that you'd need enabled. But it does take a little bit of tinkering to get working, and sometimes websites don't work flawlessly. If you're just a basic user, Firefox is far better than other browsers.

No one is going to ban you, don't worry.

I personally prefer Firefox + uBlock Origin, but some people speculate that Google makes Youtube run slower on Firefox and I definitely experience some lags here and there.

I don't recommend daily-driving LibreWolf fork, I remember how one of the updates broke profiles and I couldn't access my content. Also, they have had some major political controversy recently, some of the maintainers left the project.

I'd suggest using Zen instead, it opts out of Firefox's data gathering policy and it's in active development with pretty big community of people supporting it.

I’ve been using Brave for like 7 years and YouTube still works fine. Sometimes I get a black screen for 6 seconds and YouTube acts coy and says ”find out why you’re getting an interruption” but the video starts right after.

I've used it as a daily driver for two years, no issues so far. The only problem I had was upon initial setup where it would automatically clear cache and cookies upon shutdown. And I don't see their political 'controversy' as controversy. More like an actual reason to support the project. Good movement to support.

I will look into Zen, though! Cheers.

Zen is great, it has a lot of new features. You can easily split tabs on your screen by just dragging and dropping, you can hide all of the interface and evoke it by touching sides of your screen, you can move your opened tabs bar to the right or left and so on.

It's not perfect though, still in beta, some features might break, but you are familiar with Firefox's fork scene, you should be ok.

The kinda cautious and roundabout "hey, so.. uhmm.. about that adblocker..." way they've been approaching this whole thing kinda suggests that keeping you engaged with the platform is more important to them than shoving ads to your face. I honestly doubt they would ban anyone over it.

I heard some people talking about it And this is why I'm curious to know if you use a different browser extension You would get community strike Or something like that
Even if they did do that, which it doesn't appear they are, you'd get a notification and then from what I understand, strikes go away after some period of time?

YouTube is cracking the whip on subs who use ad-blockers
