Will anyone pick up Langrisser III & Langrisser V?

I never understood why Kil the person who did the fan translation of Langrisser IV never did the translation of Langrisser V.

Does anyone have their favorite sites for translation news?
Obviously Romhacking.net. But as they have already told you, no one intends to translate them. In the meantime, why don't you play with the fourth and finish it? I already know that, if the other titles were also translated, you would play (like many others here) the first stages, then get bored and abandon those in search of other new things. 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

While i can't comment on langrisser 5, langrisser 3 is the black sheep of the series due to major changes to the combat system.

Langrisser 5 i'm going to guess on but i've heard 5 isn't that great either especially in comparison to langrisser 4, but i also don't know for certain.

Even if the game is bad, I still want to play it, I really liked Langrisser IV.

From looking at the repo it looks like somebody almost finished a translation for Langrisser 3 but gave up on it.

Langrisser 5 got a Saturn and PSX release so it couldn't have been that bad.

There is a full translation guide of Langrisser V by someone called Borgor in gamefaqs.
The fifth one is a rather bittersweet experience, while Iwadare music is great and the history setting has potential the same can be said about the characters. Things like the lack of choices that matter(limited to the usual romance points) and subsequently no "Paths"(Empire, light, independent, etc) are a big minus, the lack of varied mission objectives also bother me a little.

If I had to guess, it would be because Career Soft used some voodoo when making those games that make them prone to fatal crashes/freezes when emulating. I never tried Langrisser 3 and 5, but I remember finishing 4 by constantly using save states before anyone used magic because that could just freeze the game at random and make me waste a ton of time.
Not to mention the PS2 Growlanser games with the unsolvable freezes when magic effects showed up, or after missions. (If someone knows if that has ever been fixed please tell me)
Urushihara Satoshi should have drawn for more games.
