Hey, I've never been too much into the Wii generation of Nintendo games, and I was wondering if you could recommend me some Wii games to play on Dolphin. I only have a few, my libraries on other games of similar generations are usually bigger. Anyway since I'll be playing them mostly with a regular gamepad, I was hoping for games that don't really need the wii-mote features. Here's my current games list for reference.

I usually use the Repo to explore games of a console I don't know, but Spike doesn't have Wii games so I'm a bit blind here. I know even less about hacks and homebrews, even though I know the scene is huge! I only got that Mario Kart mod, RetroRewind.

I don't know if a Strategy RPG is what you're looking for, but the first thing that comes to mind for a Wii game without motion controls is Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, though I'd recommend the Gamecube predecessor first.

The Konami Rebirth Trilogy, Castlevania Rebirth, Contra Rebirth, and Gradius Rebirth might be up your alley if you want more retro style stuff.

I would recommend that you get the GameCube version of Twilight Princess, it controls way better on a regular gamepad (The major difference between the 2 is that the Wii one was reversed in the same style as mirror mode in Mario Kart, left is right and right is left, that could be confusing if you want some guides because the Wii version is much more known), on recommendations:

Sonic Unleashed (Different from the 360 one, also called Unwiished for differentiation)
Sonic Riders Zero Gravity
Kirby Return to Dreamland and also Kirby Epic Yarn
Sin and Punishment: Star Successor
Mega Man 9 and 10 (both are WiiWare)
Klonoa (A remake of the PS1 classic, it's not very known that exists)
Shiren the Wanderer (It's Shiren 3 actually, from same devs of Mystery Dungeon games)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (You might need to remap some movement to a button in order to roll)
Cars 2 (I'm serious, it's a pretty decent kart racer, if you ever played Disney Infinity, that took all the vehicle driving mechanics from this game, it looks better on 360 though)

Donkey Kong Country Returns (You might need to remap some movement to a button in order to roll)
Not just roll, but slam the ground. Either way, that just requires shaking. I forgot whether there's anything more complicated like tilt aiming/steering, but that's probably simple enough to be worked out with some tweaks too.

fire emblem: radiant dawn iirc doesnt use wii-mote features & emulates pretty good from my memory

Check these games out if you're interested in them when it comes to not using the Wii-mote Features:

Blaster Master: Overdrive (WiiWare)
Castle of Shikigami III
Geometry Wars: Galaxies
La-Mulana (WiiWare)
Punch-Out!!
Retro City Rampage (WiiWare)
Shakedown: Hawaii
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars

little king's story should work. it doesn't use motion controls. but i don't know if it uses a classic controller or not. i played with a wii remote and nun chuck.

The only one that I tried was Pandora's Tower, it ran pretty well and it was fun but I didn't continued it because I don't have a wii controller and it's was a pain trying to map the buttons and motions to keyboard-mouse.
edit: ah I didn't read properly, ignore me then this is not a good recommendation.
I downloaded that game and saw others for wii in Ziperto website.

Pandora's Tower runs fine with a gamepad. The camera angles are fixed, so the right-side thumbstick will control the cursor that's normally mapped to the Wii-mote.

I do have a gamepad now so I will have to give it another try then, that game seemed interesting to me, thank you.

remapping the buttons (i have an xbox360 controller) both Alice and The Conduict are perfectly playable imo

Rhythm heaven fever. Doesn't require any motion controls and genuinely fun to play, one of my favorite gaming experiences

Get a good blue tooth sensor and you can hook your Wii Remote up to it and let me tell ya Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition runs like a dream. You might get a split second of stutter when first firing a gun but it goes away quickly.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll go check how many of these are interesting to me, and more importantly, still fit into my almost full hard drive!
