Why some people spoil newly released games in thumbnails?

Way to justify and support the unjust! 👍
You should write a book or something.
Nah, I am not a foreseer nor a very smart person. If that would be something that would make a lot of money, lot of people would have written it before.

Although I understand both of you, this is not a RPG where you should defeat evil, or whatever. This is life, and life has been working like that way before we were born, and that "evil" is the entire world.

Think about it like in the movie of Truman Show, but the show is the entire world. 99% of the people agrees on how the show runs and plays along, because they want to take part and benefit from it. The rules are clear, as long as you don't do anything ilegal, you can do whatever you want to "cheat" other people and benefit from it. Who wouldn't agree? well, the minority of the world. But the biggest issue here is that, the ones that support it most are the ones that have more control over things, such as politics, big corporations, etc. So, among those 99% you realize that they control 99,999999% of the world, and your 1% team only controls 0,000001%, so things gets way worse.

Well, there is nothing I say you already don't know, I don't think that elaborating this further will make you learn anything lol.

Well I know some people who think letting people know about spoilers are a good thing because they believe by talking about spoilers people will love what they love.

For example my brother literally told me everything about Baldur's Gate 3. Good thing is I don't care about it so it's okay and I'm glad my brother never cared about Metal Gear games or most of games I care about to not get spoiled lol.

And one of my close friend is the same shit.

In their mind they wanna share their love for what they want me to share this love too but they don't care learning about spoiler can diminish value of it because you didn't learn it as you experienced it.

For example Bioshock Infinite's spoiler wouldn't be impactful if I had said it or you learned on Wikipedia by reading the whole story. It means how and what story is one thing, but what matters is how the story is presented. That's why Shakespeare, Philip K. Dick and Alfred Hitchcock (dude ignore their names, they are real people and I'm serious here but I cannot turn off my sense of humor lol) are big deals in their respective fields and it's not an overrated thing per se. They know the art of making story have an impact and it's really hard to do.

At least one of my gamer friend is good at making you interested in a game without spoiling you. She just mentioned what's interesting about it. Thanks to her I could care about Persona games enough to play them, otherwise they really didn't look interesting to play them lol.

I hate it when they spoil the endgame. Like, at least make the final boss a silhouette.

Because they want clicks, and pissing people off is a true-and-tried way of getting them.

They should know that this is a bad proposition because YouTube prioritizes engagement through watch time, not random clicks. What they are doing is effectively getting people pissed for pennies.

Because they just don’t care. I’ve even seen thumbnails with photoshopped images of events that never happen in the game, and i think I saw an AI generated thumbnail for a game.

I feel there's a level of fair business practice that mostly goes without saying or fully understanding in some instances. If you're good to your clientele, your company becomes known for it.. If they have bad business practices, that affects their reputation as well.

Yeah, that's one of the things I despise, the fake thumbnais.

So I started a war of bad comments on Youtube from people I know they deserve it without giving them any view, because the video is not starting whatsoever :)

Now let's talk about how some Japanese games' intro video is a summary of what will happen in the game without any care of spoiling you lol.

I remember that JoJo did that with Part 1&2 yet it would make sense only once you've seen it until the end.

Same with Mission : Impossible yet they managed to make it obscure enough to not show everything.

I think Zero Escape did it perfectly too.
