I used the Dolphin Emulator for my GameCube ROMs, using my phone (POCO M3). On all the games I've downloaded (seen in the picture);

All of them had framedrops and sound issues. I've tried changing my fallback region to NTSC-U but still no luck. Can anyone help me to run Dolphin better (or recommend me another good and free GCN emulator) or am I just screwed because my device is too low-spec? (For comparison I've tried PPSSPP and Redream and both of them ran games with little to no issue if that helps).

Your phone is probably too low-spec. Sorry.

How good is your phone compared to others out there? Also, AFAIK, emus on PC run better than on phones.

Even if the phone is not weak, as you said the apk version of emulators are usually not as good as the PC version. Specially on more demanding systems. He might have found the ceiling for his emulation on that device.

I don't think there is a better option than Dolphin to emulate Gamecube.
The problem, as mentioned above, is due to the device.
I have a friend who emulates Wind Waker without problems,however his smartphone is one of those that to fully pay for it you have to go without food for at least a couple of months...Teehee~

As for me,the only thing I've managed to emulate well are some WiiWare games like Gradius Rebirth.

I have a similar phone, maybe just slightly better, and can confirm that Super Mario Sunshine is sluggish. There aren't that many settings in Dolphin to mess around with, so don't think there is much that can be done here. Some other games like RE4 work perfectly though, so there might be hope that it'll get better with some future improved version of the emulator.

I'm really sorry to tell you, but your phone is just too weak for those games. Even a Snapdragon 720g, a chipset nearly 2x the power of Snapdragon 662 (your phone) using an MMJR or Ishiruka build of Dolphin couldn't run those games smoothly.

if your phone sucks just use retroid pocket 5 it can run emulation up to Nintendo switch flawlessly
Do you have one and have you verified games that OP asked about? Just because it can run some games flawlessly doesn't mean it can run everything.

This video suggests same issues OP was having with mario sunshine, frame drops and cracking audio.

Though I've come across others that claim to achieve good performance on retroid pocket 3+, which is very similar to OP's phone, and the trick seems to be to use the EU version of the game that's targetting lower framerate and also enabling and lowering the Config->Advanced->Emulated CPU Clock Speed, that way it seem playable for me, but still stutters every now and then, and I haven't tested for too long.

android emulation really (n) compared to the cfw like rocknix or batocera, but that's emulation there'll always have hit or miss on certain game
