possibly one of the most beautiful and elegant designs id seen in any japanimation ever... and also pretty transpilledi only know about this from my dad who loved it to death back in his day

i still havent read it in full to this day though

i found an issue of hobby japan all the way back from 1998 in a toy store that sells gunpla, i think it was doing a showcase for custom models/sculpts of the motar heads and two of the fatimas?? i found this super pretty photo of blue megaira and shes been my pfp ever since

I stopped staying up thinking about FSS long ago after making peace with the fact that

1) the author will probably never finish it in his lifetime
2) The new designs after GothicMade (to me) are much less appealing than the originals and
3) it's so frustratingly hard to read in english! And I have no idea if the translations of the manga are even up to date, given the authors sporadic release schedule...

I own 2 kits of the Knight of Gold. One is completed and the other I have stored away as I promised myself that it would be the last kit I would ever make. and it will be a mission and a half to complete!

lol yes hes too busy starting bands and all that stupid stuff

the translations are also whats been holding me back too! my father actually has full volumes of it that are in chinese and theyre soooo wordy good lord, tried the english version on mangadex and it really isnt that different either

I'm thinking that it would be nice to have up to date full volumes in english. Otherwise I just rewatch L-Gaim every other year, since it's the closest thing to a proper full length FSS anime one can hope to get at this point.

One thing that really annoyed me with the original english release was that they split the original japanese books into separate volumes. So the first story arc, which was the basis of the FSS anime movie, was 1 book in japan but split into 3 or 4 in english and each of those books was full priced!!

In their defence though, they did print them in full size so the books were much larger than your usual manga volumes. I think they were A4 sized?
