Whitch is the best Digimon game to start? (Without playing time stranger)

i wanted to play the most recent digimon game but unfortunately it costs 300 BRL, and i played a little of digimon world but after playing a little of this game and watching a video about how it works I realized that this game is not the best to start with as a new player, is there other digimon games that are the best to start with or its just time stranger?

Digimon World on PS is the best of the older titles (save for the virtual pet keychain). For more modern, Cyber Sleuth is your best bet. Digimon Survive is a hit-or-miss. It has a great story, but it has LONG story sequences with little action, and some characters you may want to pull into reality yourself so you can take a chainsaw to their groin.

But the DS was released way after the PS1.
