After 12 years of playing Pokémon... I FINALLY CAUGHT A SHINY! It may not be a particularly powerful monster, but it's always satisfying.

I found my first shiny in Let's Go Pikachu the other month. It was a Weedle. I wonder a lot if I came upon a shiny as a child and just didn't know it and it bothers me. Statistically it feels like I must have.

My first shiny was a Luvdisc in X. Then, I bred for a shiny Ralts and got insanely lucky (only took a single egg!!!).

Really, in Pokémon Legends Arceus you're forced to catch a shiny Ponyta in a side quest. That quest is like a tutorial on shinies.
