I went on a really awkward one with a girl during early HS where we barely talked and I had to show my birthday money because I wanted a jacket that was too expensive, looking back, I don't understand how she still smiled with me.

Went steady with a girl that had bad BPD, don't really want to get into specifics, but she was pretty and I was desperate.

I met up with someone off of a dating site maybe, I dunno, 13-14 years ago? She definitely looked a little worse than what her pictures inferred, maybe not a catfish per say but certainly deliberate angles of the photos and also likely dated ones. Deception is not a good first impression, but I could have let it slide if she had an engaging personality. We met at a Red Robin, and I paid for the meal, during which she barely had anything to say and was mostly on her phone. Surprisingly, she wanted to go see a movie at the nearby movie theater, and I agreed, foolishly. I presume she only wanted to go because I was going to pay for it. I wasn't attracted to her and didn't enjoy at all being on the date or around her, so I'm not sure why I didn't just pay for the food and GTFO right then to minimize losses. Chalk it up to being younger, more naive, and feeling obligated.

I accidently spilled a hot cup of coffee on a guy I went out with in high school freshman year. It gave him burns on his legs. We never talked again.
