Ah, Altered Beast was something of a Killer App for the Genesis/Megadrive at launch, right? I didn't get a Genesis until some years later.

It did a good job at showcasing how large the jump from 8 to 16 bit could be. That said the gameplay itself was... not all that amazing. For perspective I played it when it was new and I wasn't a fan even then.

I really should set up Fightcade some time so I can get my ass beat. I've only ever been good at Skullgirls and Mortal Kombat X. Maybe MvC3 back in the day.

UMvC3 is the only one I was ever really good at. I never had a strong grasp on MvC2. I played a ton of MK9, but I didn't have a local scene anymore when MKX came out.

Rust doesn't equal embarrassment. When I get a gaming setup, maybe in life we meet, we'll play. Along with the rest of the gang. Maybe In this world or the next.
