....I just had the dumbest moment, where halfway through writing a response about body horror I saw your avatar and I don't know if I've ever actually consciously thought "there's two middle fingers up in that picture". I've been working my way through Star Ocean The Second Story R and replaying Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, along with those i've been playing some miscellaneous PvE games with some friends

That looks pretty cool! Games with a "gang take over" feature are always fun, like Saints Row 2 or NFS: Carbon.

How're you finding Star Ocean? I picked up Til the End of Time for PS2 for a fiver, but haven't gotten round to it yet. The Last Hope was fun, voice acting was unmatched.

I hear some people say Second Story is one of the best RPG's on the PSX. Definitely had the price tag for a while

I've been loving the remaster. It looks beautiful, the soundtrack's amazing, i love the different characters and i'm loving how the battle gameplay is (especially now that i have a full party who are all around lvl50, sometimes there's so much happening on the screen that i can barely tell what's going on).

I have a few minor pet-peeves with it though, my biggest one is that you can't cancel attacks with dodging and because i have a bad tendency to button mash while attacking i tend to get caught in enemy combos. Another one i have is that they really did spend their sweet time on Expel, i was expecting a full blown space opera when i bough the game so i was a little disappointed when the first 10 hours of gameplay were spent in a very traditional fantasy world, luckily everything else about the game is really good so i still enjoyed the beginning of the adventure. Even more so now that the story has gotten more intense after the characters ended up on Energy Nede, there's still a lot of game left as i'm only 13 hours in so far.
