DSDA Doom and Woof are the ones that interest me the most since they are a mixture of vanilla and modernWhat type of Doom experience are you looking for? Something more vanilla or are you wanting mod support?
My phone doesnt support itToday there is even an OFFICIAL port for mobile
You're on mobile? Ah, I'm sorry, I don't know a lot about running Doom on mobile. My phone doesnt support it
I second this. Plays Doom, plays other games based on the Doom engine, plays all the mods I've ever wanted to play.I've always stuck with GZDoom, but I also can't claim to have ever investigated the options all that much. I'm used to it at this point and it works.
ZDL fixes that for the most part.and having to drag and drop .wad files instead of just selecting them from a menu is a hassle
Im also on PCYou're on mobile? Ah, I'm sorry, I don't know a lot about running Doom on mobile.
In that case, I'd say GZDoom like everyone else here, as it's generally the most flexible and will play nearly anything you throw at it. It has a few deviations from vanilla behavior however, even with compatibility settings on strict.Im also on PC
What is your phone? Java?My phone doesnt support it
SKY elite a65What is your phone? Java?
can confirm is very good and i think you don't need a bethesda account anymore (thankgod)If you want something vanilla, I think the new Nightdive official version is good.
It seems like it's been since forever where you could use the console to load mods and maps for Quake. I don't know why that hasn't been implemented in every Doom port yet since they all implemented consoles ages ago. Maybe I just don't know the commands. People kept telling me to drag and drop. The best option overall is probably GZDOOM on PC. I found it cumbersome to set up at first, and having to drag and drop .wad files instead of just selecting them from a menu is a hassle, but it's the most customisable and is otherwise brilliant.
You are better off using a side loader like ZDL. It's much easier and more organized. It seems like it's been since forever where you could use the console to load mods and maps for Quake.
