I for one am enamored by drum tracks and beats. Whenever I'm listening to a song, I always gravitate towards the drums first and foremost. So I'm wondering, which songs have y'alls favourite drum tracks?

A few examples from moi:
Down Rodeo - Rage Against the Machine (when the second verse vocals come in and the drummer rattles along to the flow of the lyrics gives me goosebumps)

Deer Dance - System of A Down (the hi hats here TwT)

X-Wing (Cold Blooded Soul Version) - Denzel Curry (so much sparkle)

John Dolmayan is a great drummer, really underated just like the rest of the band who aren't named Serj Tankian.

The first one that comes to mind for me;
Bill Ward is a phenomenal drummer, who once again I think gets overshadowed by the other 3 members of the band in pop culture. The guy was a beast though, love his huge tom hits and really jazzy, open style.

his ability to stick to the beat while flaring out so much on his kit near the end is majestic. Listening or watching drummers like this do their thing always puts me into a state of awe and wonder xD

All the Blut Aus Nord stuff. Alot of interesting drum patterns between the kick, cymbals, and snare. Almost groovy, despite the guitars twisting and distorting, like a rusted metal cube being sundered.

Insert a very silly quote from Gal Gun
If you know, you know

as if the guitar wasn't relentless enough!!

i love double bass drums so much. this is definitely groovy as heck, headbanger for sure.
Might be a very weird pick considering the music that has been posted here but I really like the drums in this song.
super snappy UGH, feels great. i love how crisp this feels and intuitive this feels.
AHHHHHHHHH visual kei MY BELOVED. the beat in this song sounds like the beat that goes through my head whenever im not actively listening to a song

o here, just in case it's "One Hundred Years" by The Cure

"The game has changed" from Tron Legacy
I love how the song starts very calmly and then the drums appears to announce that both the Grid and the game has changed since the original movie.

Really any toe track, their drummer is an animal. This track in particular just brings something out of the entire band, they get feral in live versions.

The drums from Led Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks play in my brain 24/7. I also like Slint - Good Morning, Captain. Neither are particularly flashy or anything, I just like the pounding grooves.
so chonky, im particularly a fan of When the Levee Breaks.
i was NOT expecting this to go so hard

YESSSSSS!!! YES YES YES! For Long Tomorrow is one of my favorite albums, I love Goodbye and Two Moons especially ❤️

Im gonna take the liberty of tossing another track that I adore into the list here :D

flobots has a very particular sound to their drums that permeates all of fight with tools, i'm a big fan of it specifically in combat. the part at around 1:45 where the tom tom and hi hat line up with the lyrics is SO good
