I've been playing rock band unplugged and every now and then I think "NOOOOOOO THIS SONG AGAIN" and "A B C, ITS EASY, 1 2 3, AS SIMPLE AS, DO RE MI"

That one band that made that song that was real popular that I can't remember the name of. They were great.

Every guitar hero guitar peripheral I ever used was broken.

Is the answer to the original question
DragonForce
?

I played the songs on a modded pc version of guitar hero 3 i think part 2 had the best songs not sure of backgrounds or characters though.

Probably Rock Band 2 objectively, but for me personally Rock Band 1 soundtrack just hits different. I've heard a lot of people say that they think the RB1 track list is quite bad, but I think they really nailed the transition of creating a soundtrack no longer centered around guitar parts and instead needing to select songs which are fun on all 4 instruments.

Rock Band Unplugged has a pretty great soundtrack too, a good amount of those tracks were paid DLC in the main games which was interesting to see.

plus RB1 has Maps which is like one of the greatest songs ever. really love how many weirdo indie cuts are on RB1, always have to commend it for that

Was always more of a Guitar Hero player than Rock Band but I'd personally go with Rock Band 2. Remember Rock Band 3 with its dlc and the ability to add songs from the first two Rock Band games would give you hundreds of songs but both of those features are long gone by now sadly.

Rock Band 2, but I don't have a guitar and it's impossible to play the game without one. Unless you want to play pretend on vocals I guess?
The best bet for PC for anyone wondering is Colne Hero.

Base game is 2 for sure,it has more rock song than the "diverse" selection in 3

But for the overall set list,i think 3 is the best.
Customs+DLC 🤤

@Deean Rock Band 3 Deluxe on an RGH 360 is just the best. It's INSANE to me how many people still drop customs with all the parts charted, including keys and all that. Just absolutely insane to me to see brand new music in a game that's fast approaching 20 years
