i have no idea but i have a standard playstation 4 and i wouldnt want to get cyberpunk 2077 for it. But this is from my impression of it during the launch, it may have improved now
Nah it's still unplayable on a base PS4
I've played through Cyberpunk 2077 two times on a regular PS4 two years ago on the latest patch and had no issue playing the game. My only pet peeve, and one of the biggest reasons I snagged a PS4 Pro, is that the posters and billboards are in normal settings more often that not pixelated messes. But you can tweak it so it's higher res like the Pro.
As far as I know, Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 has a dynamic fidelity system running, where it lowers the resolution the more taxing running the game becomes. If you toggle the "depth of field" off, you have higher res assets, but the game stutters and freezes for a few seconds occasionally as it loads more of the map, which can suck if you're in combat.
Now the biggest problem with the PS4 version is that it's stuck at the 1.7 patch, i think. Which means there's not the additional content added to the game, like more cars and the ability to buy them using the in-game computer in the pad or the working subway system, or the DLC Phantom Liberty.
But not having the latest patch also means not having some of the more questionable updates, like car combat and the hacks stack in combat (detracts from the immediacy of the combat) which are kinda meh. Personally I think CD Projekt RED overcorrected on Cyberpunk 2077.
On PS4, Cyberpunk 2077 is a fun, chill game.
With Nier Automata, I don't remember having any performance problem on the base PS4.
