I would want to be Link of the Zelda series. He's strong, courageous, and doesn't let anything stand in his way when trying to save Hyrule from Ganon/Ganondorf.

Would say Doom Guy for having the guts to punch his CO in the face for ordering him to fire at civilians. Got to respect that level of moral conviction, especially since it led to the chain of events that earned him the demon slaying demi-god status he has in the newer games.
