Do we have a math professional? Can we statistics this? I need a pie chart.

But what if I get a baked potato instead, how many of the same fries are in it?

Honestly, probably never, they come pre-cut in a machine packaged bag, and beyond that they're shaken around during preparation, the chances of your chips being from the same potato is probably so small that it's never occurred yet.
Basically, the monkey typewriter hypothesis but with minimum wage workers and chips.

I usually ask the potato itself.
Is that...druid magic or necromancy?

It's all one big fry. Like that instrumentality thing from Evangelion.

What? I... why would I....? Why am I now thinking about all the times I ate fries and how many were from the same potato? Why did you have to pass this curse onto me?

I finally have a place to share these thoughts. I am happy to carry this burden with you.

I have a theory that some restaurants have hired a wizard who can open portals into very specialized dimensions to allow them to offer an unlimited side. Thus, Olive Garden has opened the portal to the bread stick dimension while Red Robin has opened one to the potato dimension. (They also opened one to the sweet potato dimension, but that's harder to keep open so they charge extra for it.) Your average local restaurant can't afford a high-priced wizard, so they just get the cheap ones who can open a tiny portal to the dimension that has those generic little buns and some butter.

Whichever it is, they are all sourcing from one big omega-food. Thus, the Red Robin fries are all from a single self-healing potato or sweet potato, regardless of how many you eat or which location you are eating at.

Oh, very much so. Of course, the chains and gag aren't necessary, but who's going to tell a giant potato their way of "serving" themselves is wrong? 😏

Oh that's fine then. As long as it's a consenting potato :sneaky:

I think it depends on where you order them. If it's in a normal restaurant the fries are probably prepared for you, therefore you get one or two potatoes.
If it's in a fast food place you're probably not getting fries from one potato, you can't even know when it was cut or fried. You just know they're fries.
