When is Devil May Cry 6 coming ?

I'd like a DMC 6 that's closer to 4 than 5.

Preferably one set directly after DMC 3. I think they could fit a tonne of stories between DMC 1 AND 4 as well.

That would be perfect, everything is possible .

be kind monster hunter and resident evil are both very cool
i has been consuming the proverbial cheeseburger for some time now - if a new mega man x title was announced i would weep
Village was mid and Wilds is pure garbage
I'm going to be kind when capcom finally make something good
Sorry but new Mega man x is not happening, if game can't pull MH or RE sale numbers then modern capcom simple don't care
After new Onimusha will sell only 2-3 millions instead of 20 crapcom going to say it was a flop and never make a sequel again
Sad reality

why do you consider wilds to be a poor release? (i have not partaken of the wilds cheeseburger, i am still seeking to finish 4 ultimate)

An open world Mega Man would be cool

Rushed and buggy mess still to this day, horrendous performance RE engine obviously don't work for open world games, game not even looks good, it just embracing
Game simplified for no reasons even worse than Rise, its too easy and of course there is less content than in previous games, classic
among other problems, though i find bugs and performance are the worst of them

Resident Evil and Monster Hunter are Capcom's flagship franchises right now, with Street Fighter being not too far behind with the success of SF6. Devil May Cry games are going to come out and be supported at a slower rate as Capcom doesn't have as much of a reason to make it a priority, and I'm fine with that. I'd rather them take their time.

There is no way in hell that Capcom will give the time and resources needed to make that work.

It was just an idea but it's clear that this will never happen.

Kind of get the impression not a lot of people at Capcom want to really work on DMC anymore. You can already find stuff in art books about a lot of the teams post-DMC1's being kind of iffy with doing stuff with characters they didn't make and a lot of the DMC guys seeming to prefer working on their own things (Dragon's Dogma for example) instead of trying to continue to add onto what Kamiya and his boys did I think a lot of them probably just wanna do other stuff. Nero was made in the first place so they didn't have to mess with a character that wasn't theirs anymore, and with Itsuno gone now I wouldn't be surprised that any new team would feel the same way about Nero. DMC has a legacy with 6 (yes, 6. I like DMC2) cool games with an immense amount of replay-ability and love put into them that I am perfectly content if we never get a new Dernte. I think it's less of Capcom execs not seeing the point of it and moreso a lot of the teams that would normally be in charge of developing a new DMC just don't wanna do it. Which is fine. Especially with the new Netflix show I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of folks at Capcom would prefer that to just carry the DMC clout for the time being. DMC is too big to not get a new installment someday but I don't think we should be gloomy about it. I don't think Capcom really "forgot" anything but moreso just their devs want to make new things and not do Viewtiful Joe 3 without the original guy who made the character involved (and ofc pumping out RE9 Remake/SF/MH for the $$$. Ofc if it's $$$ worthy they'll do whatever they want with the thing, and DMC is only $$ worthy)

Hopefully fairly soon, though part of me is expecting a DMC1 remake first.

Yes, we can only wait and hope.

Sir this is Capcom....they always make the fans wait, and if it is Rockman/Megaman related...Disappointed fans. Seriously 11 did incredibly well and no plans for a 12

Knowing the stupid way that Capcom treat franchises that are not: Street Fighter, Resident Evil and Monster Hunter.

the Devil May Cry game franchise will possibly be put on ice, especially after Itsuno's departure from the franchise.

Now the only thing we will get is that Adi Shankar adaptation.
