I kind of abandoned the Xbox as of learning of the failure rate of the Xbox 360, all my consoles thus far still worked and do work to this day from back then, but I really wasn't comfortable spending hundreds on something that just broke down eventually, it wasn't an if either, it was a when.
I tried the second version of the 360, that was fine, I liked halo 3 and odst but that was about it, most games I liked were exclusive to the ps3 and as someone who largely played Japanese developed games at the time, many of those games did not release on the xbox later in it's lifecycle. The disc size of the 360 games was hindering multiplatform games as well as the generation wore on.
The reveal of the Xbox one was easily one of the most fascinatingly out of touch moments with the customer base that Microsoft has ever had.
The 360 had it's time in the sun, but I preferred the OG Xbox for what was often the better choice for multiplatform back then. It also had jet set radio future, no other Xbox had that, so it's the best xbox.
If jet set radio future suddenly released on PS5, then yes, that is now the best Xbox according to their latest marketing nonsense.
A friend of min grew up with the 360, so it's a sacred cow for him
