Which cross-gen games were too different to make you feel cheated when buying the old-gen version?
Is it that different?
The PS3 and Xbox 360 got hero costumes that aren't present on previous gens version. Also the the PS2 versions gameplay felt clunky compared to the next gen counterpart. Is it that different?

In a movie game, you can expect anything, really.Spider-Man 3, except that the PS2 version actually played better than the PS3 version.
When hackers recompiled the new gen version, everyone celebrated so much that I had the impression it was the best.Personal opinion and a rare reverse case: Sonic Unleashed. The PS2 version was the better game compared to the PS3/360. Yes it didn't have as many Day levels. You know what else it didn't have though? The stupid freaking medal system that forced you to do tons of unfun filler content if you wanted to progress. Also less dumb quicktime minigames. Amazes me that Unleashed PS2 ended up better simply by being on underpowered hardware.
I also found it strange that this time Nintendo didn't appeal to "No Nudes, Yes Violence"Carmaggedon on PS1 was a thing of beauty.
Carmaggedon on N64 wasn't even honest about what it was — it was a watered down port of a completely different version sold as a port of the PC game.
