I love a lot of games, especially RPGs, however, most of them aren't good for playing again and again...

Having this in mind, currently these games are on top of my mind which i like to play again and again:
Rise of Nations (PC)
RollerGames (nes)
Star Soldier (nes)
Ball Jacks (md)
Battletoads (md)
The Prince of Tennis 2004 (gba)

I've played "Grandia 2" three times, though I can't say what I liked so much if compared to many other wonderful games I've played only once :) Also, "Freedom Wars" twice, the second time I've been proud to complete the main campaign in single player. When I turn on my Vita, I always have a round of "Race the sun", quite addictive for a few minutes.

Guilty gear XX AC +R, the game play is just perfect and beyond good. That perfect balance of consistency and having to make adjustments on the fly. As well as having an insane skill cap where you can truly push into "is this even humanly feasible" People are still doing new shit ever day after years and years, also the community is just a great place, everybody pushing each other forwards. Its awesome!

you played over & over and you still can't get enough of it.
This is kinda the topic of not "favorite game" but "the most ones you like to play from time to time" you play for IDK to relax and have fun sometimes. There are games I play a lot between breaks for quick relaxing fun but they are not necessarily in my favorite games list per se:

Super Metroid. I played it the first time as a kid and I loved the feeling of being lost in a strange, alien and kind of scary world where you had no idea what was going to be in the next room. Sadly the game doesn't feel strange and scary to me any more but I still love doing a run through the game. There's also lots of great romhacks and a few different randomizers. The map rando one is really fun. But I still play vanilla runs of the game because the original, unmodified version of the game is still one of the greatest games ever made.

Hollow Knight because it's the first game I've played since Super Metroid that made me feel like a kid again playing through Super Metroid for the first time. It was everything I liked about Super Metroid just a whole lot more of it and some new stuff I enjoyed just as much. It felt like the sequel to Super Metroid I always wanted but never got because the actual Metroid series mostly went in a different direction and exploration and becoming lost sort of fell by the wayside in favour of story driven narratives and pseudo horror game scripted events. Whereas in Hollow Knight, the entire game is being lost and exploring.

Megaman X. It's my favourite game in the Megaman franchise. I don't even know how many times I've played through the whole game. I played through it a little while ago to try out the fastrom or sa-1 or whatever hack it is that removes the lag from the game. I ended up playing through it all in one sitting and 100%ed everything including getting the hadoken without even thinking too much about it and it was the first time I'd played the game in at least 5 years or longer. That's how much I've played that game and it still never gets old. I could probably pick it up right now and do a playthrough of it and enjoy it the whole time.

Final Fantasy V. It's the only jrpg apart from the first Final Fantasy I've played through over and over again and never gotten bored of part way through. I tend to prefer the gameplay more than the stories in jrpgs and FFV has one of the most fun job systems out of all of them. The story itself is also pretty decent. I don't know why it gets such a hate on. It gets pretty dark at times and I always thought the concept of two separate worlds being forced to merge was always kind of neat. I find it to be just serious enough to get its point across but doesn't try too hard like I find the later games in the series do.

mega man 1 to 8
