Well as someone that just had a vacation where I did nothing I thought I'd share what my ideal vacation would be. Id like to preface it by saying I have been to a few places already, but my next destination would definitely be to go boating around New Zealand. What are some of yours?

I always wanted to go to Japan to places like Kyoto, Tokyo, and Osaka. I'm fascinated with the art, checkout the food & stores, sightseeing, visit ancient temples, explore local museums, etc.

Always wanted to see the Forbidden City, in Beijing. Saw it in The Last Emperor 1987 directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. He really made the site seem beautiful also the ,Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is one of the most famous places in Brazil but i never got the chance to see it. those two would be cool to visit Maranhão is a pretty sparse and calm state in Brazil so an Ideal Beach/River/Forest vacation and Beijing would be an ideal City/High Energy/Buying useless stuff vacation.

my next destination
I hate traveling, it's a pain in the ass: I only travel for business or moving which, to be fair, is kind of exciting and hotels are fun, but the novelty of a new place wears off fast for me, and I just want to go home; I have plenty of fun everyday without having to go anywhere.

True
I didn't say doing nothing was bad haha

I'm a homebody on a Staycation atm and while I wish I did more than just sleep I can't think of a vacation really worth exploring with my mindset now. Maybe if I get to grow old and have someone I would be more inclined to vacation but so far the only vacation dreams would be trying to enjoy the traveling itself like maybe 3 days on a train or a week floating on a boat on a river not a cruise and stopping at local ports. Now as an adult I really see vacation with my family where also vacations for them in getting to explore new things and watch my own amazement.

My trip to Japan was pretty magical. All the sightseeing, the shopping, getting to see Miku live and (very briefly) meeting her voice provider, Saki Fujita. I'd love a chance to go back some day.

While it is true that I too want to go to Japan for a vacation at some point, I don't see trips like that as particularly relaxing... my ideal vacation is to be able to have time off in the comfort of my own home with my own setup and comforts, then plan for nothing at all. Just... be okay doing whatever I want day to day for at least a month.

I love a good "staycation" at home but my true love is traveling to places I've never been.

A good road trip through the US, no responsibilities or deadlines. Just adventure!

Central Maui in a house for an unspecified period of time, just hanging out. Walking down to the Texaco for a newspaper and some kind of snack, going to the mall, just regular stuff.

I want to see a good beach sometime. Like you know, those crystal clear ones with clean bleach white sand. Ideally somewhere in Australia or New Zealand.
