For me its a toss up between 'Mobile Fighter G Gundam side story The Next Generation', and 'New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit'. I don't care UC elitist. Both were pretty good, the G gundam one is a continuation prior to the recent novel and I liked it. The Wing one is the origin of Hydra Gundam from the old Battle Assault games and has a lot of cool mobile suits I had no idea about.
I loved how the first part used characters and some plots points of F91 and finished them in a very good way, for example the rivalry of "Kinkedo Nau" and Zabine.
Though it's a bit on the short side, I honestly really liked SD Musha Gundam Fuunroku by Yamato Koichi.
I also really liked Ryuuichi Hoshino's Knight Gundam Story series, Azuma Yuuki's SD Gundam Full Color Theater, and Masato Ichishiki's Musha Bancho Fuunroku.
The Plot to Assasinate Gihren by Ark Perfomance is a must-have, if you like the political aspect of the franchise, this manga is for you:
Another favourites are The Origin, Gundam Legacy, Crossbones and F90. Every Gundam manga by Kasuhisa Kondo is a delight, here's an overview of his work:
There’s been no shortage of creative people who’ve put their touch on the Gundam franchise over the last forty years, few are as under appreciated as Kazuhisa Kondo.
