Mine is, for now, Bulletstorm. It's ridiculously fun and foul mouthed. The leash throwing enemies in the air for some creative kills. I love it!

But I have still to finish Singularity, Prey and Killing Time Extended, and to play Timeshift, The Return of Matt Hazard, Doom 3, Rage 2 and Borderlands 2.

What about you?

I loved playing Army of Two, couch co-op with a friend. The second game in the series added a bunch of gun mods and that was awesome too.

Also have to give a huge shout out to Resistance. I love how they added a couch co-op function even though it was 100% a single player game. Very underrated series I think.

Also, Powerslave/Exhumed is pretty dope, but nothing beats bouncing a stick of Dynamite off a wall a roasting a bunch of cultists. Except for underarming grenades in RE2, but that's not FPS, and I don't know if that was the first game to really do that...

Bulletstorm
I'm glad to see another fan. That game really deserved a sequel.

  • Doom 4
  • Doom 64
  • Serious Sam 2nd Encounter, Serious Sam 4, and Siberian Mayhem.
  • Prodeus
  • Shadow Warrior 3
  • Crysis 2 & 3
  • FEAR

Multiplayer: (Before being banned by a troll and getting my account muted) Team Fotress 2

Single Player: Medal of Honor Underground

What the fuck is Doom 4? You mean, DOOM (Year it came out)?
Yep. Exactly why I call it with a number 4. The Doom from 2016 takes place after 1, II, and Doom 64. Thus making 64 the true Doom 3 in the OG continuity, than Doom³.
Thus it will always be Doom 4 to me.It pretty much is officially without the labels.

but it's not like we call Sonic '06 "Sonic Adventure 3".

Cause it is not and doesn't exist. Literally wrote itself out of continuity.

MK9 also got written out of continuity. In fact, so did every other MK game up to MKvsDC. Thanks Chronika....

I call it a number 4.
God, I'd really hate to see a number 4 in my sink...

PowerSlave (Exhumed): The Shooter That Did Things Differently : r/retrogaming

I really enjoyed how they implemented metroidvania formula to an FPS, pretty cool experience.

Not that big into First Person Games, but here are the ones I like.

Goldeneye

Played most of the classic shooters in existence and this one reigns supreme imo. The way guns feel, the speed, the satisfaction of kills, the weapons, Caleb being an absolute psychopath--what doesn't this game do right? I spit on Night Dive's grave for charging $30 for a remaster of a busted remaster.

System Shock 2
Ultimate DOOM
DOOM 2
DOOM 3
Postal 2
Duke Nukem 3D
Killing Floor 2

Half-Life might be too plebian of a choice, but at this point I have completed three separate versions of this game by now, so its easy to say its my favorite of all time.

I think Killer7 also comes under first person shooter category, though it is a hybrid game of many genres, I would still like to put it here.

Monolith Productions was one of my favorite game studio out there, and three of their games -- No One Lives Forever (which I get is an immersive sim/stealth mixed with fps, but would put anyway), Shogo Mobile Armor Division, and F.E.A.R. are some of my favorite games out there.

I wanted to put Portal in here, but I guess they come under FPP (First Person Puzzle) games instead. Still solid games.
For a more proper FPS games, despite me not liking the series overall, I do think Call Of Duty series has a few gems and Call Of Duty 2 in particular is really good and really beautiful looking.

Oh yeah, cannot forget, while I only played in once, the original Halo: Combat Evolved was a blast to play. I played a pirated version of it on my ancient PC back in 2011, but it was really an amazing experience, and even to this day, despite it being a 2001 game, the graphics and the artstyle amazes me, and like, I remember the first time Master Chief's pod or whatever crashed in the planet, and I walk out, look at the sky, and that giant ring in space being seen from ground really blew my fucking mind.

The FPS that I have played the most is Borderlands 2 and Fallout New Vegas is in a close second place.
