What's your favorite fighting game and fighting game character?

Favorite game: Third Strike.

Favorite character: Urien. The character that made me a fan of the genre. Good buttons (st.mp, cr.mk, j.hk) alongside oppressive yet highly variable player expression in his SA3: Aegis Reflector made him my favorite the minute I first played the game. This was also greatly influenced by watching high level Urien players extensively, like RX, and wanting to learn his unblockables to use in real matches.

Sorry for the paragraph - I just really enjoy playing as him.

Eyyy, we found something on 3S we agree on, lol! I like Urien even though I'm terrible using him. I can use him better in SFV than in SF3, and this is why you should always take what I say with a grain of salt. :ROFLMAO:

THIS. SNK keeps bringing the wrong characters back, lol. At least they went out with a bang in KOF98UM.
Yeah, its a bloody shame they didn't come back for KOF XV. They brought back the Orochi Team, Shingo, FUCKING RUGAL, but not the ONE missing trio.

I have this luck that my favorite characters are always either the mainstream vanilla normie ass character, or the most obscure character imaginable, there's no inbetween with me.

Im STILL upset at how they never brought back Rick Strowd. Best boxer in a fighting game next to Heavy D!.................and he only appears in like one game.

Oh, Rick's entire history is getting shelved. He was supposed to be in KOF 99, but got replaced by Xiangfei, I guess.

I'd talk about characters I want back, but honestly, I can't recall a single newcomer from 14/15 I like unironically. (Xanadu is so weird I have to laugh, doesn't count, lol. Can't say I did Antonov´s XIV redesign either.)

He's quite the bullying type of character when you really get going with him, yet that really requires meter (or V Trigger) to do so. In 3S, he really starts feeling like a different character entirely if you can charge partition effectively. He's much easier for me to play on stick - I don't have as great of a feel of the charge meter on pad.

SFV kept him mostly intact, which was a relief.

I will continue to rep my boy KOFXV newcomer Krohnen McDougall, who is very clearly not K9999 from KOF2001.

For real though - I thought this was a good redesign to bring him back after so long. I don't really like the actual newcomers much, either.

this is a hard one since most of the time my favorit game and character changes from time to time
but i alwasy come back to 2 games
darkstalker night warriors soul calibur 2
characters felicia killik

I tend to prefer the slower more methodical fighting games, like the first Bushido Blade, the earlier Samurai shodown games(Newer ones tend to be more combo oriented), Last Blade series, etc.
If I need to mention one from those series, i tend to use the battojutsu specialist Hibiki from the Last Blade 2, Good range, fast attack, but slow recovery time.

i havent really been able to play fighting games in a while with my current net speeds but i'd still love to go back to Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R most of all. i really liked Order-Sol's aggressive playstyle and exclusive mechanic of powering up special moves. i also enjoyed a bit of Kliff and his downright nefarious disjointed moves and such but i dont really care for him as an actual character otherwise. i also miss playing a bit of Makoto in Blazblue

I also use to play Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike a lot on Fightcade, and Fightcade 2. It was easily my most played game on the program. That being said I spent equal amount of time playing online rank matches throughout Super Street Fighter IV iterations on Xbox Live.

My favorite fighting game character is Vega (original name Balrog). Growing up I would play shotos casually on arcades as kid, Ryu being my most used. From Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter EX. But one mechanic always irked me on performing consistently; charge inputs! so I decided to learn them using Vega. That was around the same time I seriously got into fighting games, spending hours online, attending tournaments, with the game being SSFIV.

Vega was my main throughout the series I like everything about him; his zoning playstyle, tricky ninjutsu special moves, speed, personality, and appearance having a mask & claw. Since then I gravitated towards charge characters, switching my prior main in SFIII3S Necro to Remy getting down charge partitioning and boom loops.

I have always been a fan of the Dead or Alive series with 2 probably being my favourite. Played Ayane in some form since her inception too. but I do love Hitomi and Lei Fang.

Otherwise, I owe a LOT to the Blazblue games, especially Continuum Shift as it was that game that introduced me to the FG group I call friends now. Played Noel in that series until they nerfed her into the ground.

Otherwise, I have dabbled in a LOT of fighting games, from various streetfighter games, to KoF, and tekken (tho I only really played up to Tag 1 with any seriousness) to games like Jacky Chan: fists of fire

Well color me surprised, I had no idea we got DoA on the 3DS, let alone it actually running at a steady 60fps. What kind of magic is that???
A cool magic, I played it a lot (also multiplayer online), I also had DOA2 on ps2 and later DOA5 on Vita, but the 3ds game is still my favourite.
