When I was a teenager, or in my early 20's, the longest was probably 12-13 hours. Now I can barely get 7, but still more energetic then I was when I was younger. Makes me believe the optimal sleep is around 5-6 hours. If I sleep longer than that, I feel like absolute shit.
I usually make sure to get as much sleep as possible — the classic eight hours, and if I can, I’ll also take an extra hour-long nap in the afternoon (after lunch). So, 8 + 1 = 9.
