like. there's a lot of cool game out there. sure!. ¿but what's the one you absolutly LOVE but not willing to fully-replay from the start?.
my's are: pokemon USUM (bc cutscenes), RDR (trauma bc of the ending. ngl), fallout new vegas (the progress) Assasin's creed 3 and 4 (the story), and Palworld (also bc of the progress and the time it take to level up).

Suikoden 5 for me, it's a good 2 hours or so until the game start proper but it's worth it at least

Dragon Quest IX.

AWESOME game, probably the best turn-based RPG I have ever played, but my God... the opening chapter is insufferable.

Not even the amazing Akira Toriyama animated cutscene can save that.

Death Stranding

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, although i'm more partial to totk

That's a tough one.
The first two levels of Resident Evil 4 are really boring because you're so limited.
The early parts of GTA 5 are also really dull and uninteresting after the first time.

i hate the start of must runs in The Binding of Isaac. like i'll get a great run and then on the start of the next run i'll think "holy shit im slow asf and my damage is almost nonexistant compared to the one before" and then i either try new runs or just stop playing the game.

The Arkham games.
Borderlands 2
Fear
Lord of the Rings: War in the North
Shadow Gate
Space Hulk deathwing
Trochlight

Persona 3, yeah, it's a very good game and the best of the post-EP Persona games but damn, it's very long which is just a no-no to me to replay

maybe I could replay The Answer but The Journey...?

This game:

Actually, I'm still playing it right now and looking back at the beginning, I wouldn't be where I am now if not for some lucky carves early on

I really want to change my in-game name but fear the next restart won't be so forgiving...

Shadowrun for the SNES .

This games is really linear and doesnt offer much of choice but i love the game non the less . I prefer to watch longplays of it because im here for the world , the dirty street vibes , the underrated soundtrack and story which was almost one to one from the legendary classic Shadowrun Novel " Dont deal with Dragons " .

Marvel Ultimate alliance (the first one)
I love the game but replaying it from scratch and unlocking all heroes again while leveling them up ? No thank you .

Twilight Princess and Persona 5 have unbearably long prologues. Everything's pretty much good after, but man, you really forget how rough those openings are. I actually fell asleep while replaying Persona 5 when the PC port came out lol.

most RPGs one of my favorites Tales of Destiny on PS1. did a quick search on how long it takes to complete and it came up 32-82 hours.

Most card game games suck at first. Your deck is shit, their decks are shit, and it's gonna take a while until it doesn't. Committing war crimes will be off the table for at least ten hours. Probably 20. You also need to generally play a bad rushdown deck, which is less than enjoyable. I particularly enjoy control decks, which I can't do that much for a while.

God man... Twilight Princess's opening is almost nightmarishly long. Openings in games are usually my least favorite parts, but Twilight Princess took a "hold my beer" approach and made maybe the longest, slowest, sloggiest opening of any game ever.

Love it otherwise, but I'm not in a hurry for a repeat playthrough.

I think it's only outdone by Skyward Sword. That game is the worst offender by far when it comes to this. Doesn't help either the actual game is dog shit throughout. At least Twilight Princess is a good game after that opening.

Twilight Princess, Kingdom Hearts 2, Castlevania 64 but mainly the magic nitro scene.

Forgot about Yggdra Union. It introduces mechanics one per map, which is fine. But it also has a second map between introducing another mechanic, for absolutely no reason. Like please, hurry up and let me use unions and card skills. The game needs those mechanics to truly flourish.

Every. Fucking. RPG.

The only time I would replay them is only when they actually have custom character creator to get different experience from when I played it in the past. Otherwise, into the trash they go.

Kindom Hearts: Re coded for the DS, my favorite KH game but not gonna lie the first worlds feel so slow, but once you get going is soo good, speacially the sector mode that offer you infinite floors (technically speaking). ::beer
