What's the best option for N64 emulation nowadays?

I gave up trying to find a good N64 emulator, and just got a flash cart.

I was using RMG for a while, but it eventually stopped working right for no reason. P64 used to be my go to back in the day, but somehow it seems to work worse than it did a decade ago, at least for me.

Oddly enough, and I don't want to sound like a shill here, but the only stable N64 emulation I've used was the one on switch online, which obviously means little to anyone without the hardware and a premium subscription.

I use Mupen on my phone. I'm able to upscale it to 3840x2880 resolution and every game I've tried works without problems and honestly it looks great.

i'm using RMG from quite a while now.
No problems encountered so far, but i also have Project64 in case

also, RMG looks best than the others on my monitor

What the heck is this game? Looks cute.
Chameleon Twist 2. Both Chameleon Twist games are pretty fun. They're platformers where the gimmick is your tongue can extend and move around in any direction. You use it pull things towards you or pull yourself towards things.

may be better to play recomps or source port of n64 games imo. I was satisfied with using starship source port when trying star fox 64 once.

As far as N64 goes, I still think the best option is to find a good deal on an actual console and just get a flash cart for 50 bucks off AliExpress. Either that or just settle for whatever a retro emulation handheld can do out of the box.

I'm still using Mupen64 but if you're using iOS I recommend using Delta emulator which is a Nintendo-centric multi console emulator or RetroArch. Those works well on iOS devices.
