A few years ago, someone was selling the *entire* Montreal Expos baseball card catalog for a considerable (yet not insane) sum and I hesitated just long enough for it to be gone. I'm not sure I'll ever stop feeling that one.

I also missed out on getting Dragon Age for PS3 on clearance because I was a bit short on cash at the time, despite my friend offering to buy it for me (stupid, stupid pride).

What about you?

I’m a little unsure, I used to really regret not purchasing the “mini” or classic versions of SNES and Genesis, but given my lukewarm experience with the PSobe Mini (those damn short cords!), I think they would’ve gone unused.

I do however somewhat regret not stocking up on more DualShock 4s though, they say hindsight is 20/20, and now my favorite controller is rather scarce these days, you can only find fake parts. I’d probably still try to repair mine, it may not be too late, right?

In addition to retro games, I also have a thing for animation cels! My collection is small, but I am proud of what's there. Though I had the opportunity to have many, many more...

I once stumbled across a bulk seller on eBay who was listing many single animation cels from the original 80s He-Man and She-Ra cartoons. And they were LEGIT! Some were even large-scale cels from the shows' animated openings. I didn't bid, as I thought I would get boatraced by rival buyers... but the ending prices were much, much lower than I had anticipated 😨

If only...

I also wish I had jumped on some OG Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, and Macross cels that used to pop up on eBay in the 90s, when the Anime Boom was just getting going. I decided not to drop $15 or so back then... for something that would cost me at least 10x that much now. Siiiiiigh...

BONUS: Not buying MUSHA - complete in the case, albeit with store stickers - when my local Mom n' Pop rental store was liquidating their Sega Genesis stock for $10 a piece. Woooooooosh.

I really want a Sony PVM for more retro gaming, though I have a mini CRT already. What's holding me up from pulling the trigger on one from say eBay is that I'm trying to save money.

These

The Superior Defender Gundam series

Saw them being sold locally back in the early 2000s, can't afford them as a student; assumed that they'll be more common later on and decided to wait more before buying

Boy I was wrong

They were as rare as wild truffles and became more expensive than a locally sold scooter; add to that the expensive shipping fees (they stopped being available locally) and the very sus customs in-country

TOTGA

There's a lot of retro games I remember being abundant back in the day that I wish I could've picked up when they were cheap, but then again, I didn't have any money so I wasn't really considering it.

I did see a Sega Saturn on sale for less than $100 a few months ago, which even at the time I knew was a steal. However, I'd already spent too much that day and it looked pretty gross and would need some attention, yet I still think about it.

they were selling ps tv boxes that play vita games for 25 bucks for a hot minute
