What’s a game character you dislike but everyone else loves?

Personally, I don’t like Sonic the Hedgehog. I am not a fan of his attitude and personality. He also comes off as an egotistical jerk sometimes, mostly in games from the 2010s to present day. It feels like he represents an era that’s long gone.

Zidane in final fantasy 9 and cloud in final fantasy 7 come to mind, in other games, i guess virgil in devil may cry,though his dmc 5 theme is great.

As a fan of falcom games, i guess i should mention the cast of trails into daybreak, which tbh i am indifferent on with some and outright hate others of.

Sephiroth becuse Kefka is a better villain also he manage to basically mess up the world and his better writen.

Cloud because well he´s just not MC material I like Terra and Cecil as main protagonist when it comes to FF series.

I could probably name more but not many comes to mind I tend to forget charter I don´t like.

Kim Dong Hwan, I don't believe anyone actually likes him but my god I hate that guy so much. He fits my playstyle perfectly and I do enjoy cocky and arrogant characters but
Dong Hwan is unbearable and everything I hate in a person.

Characters like Urien, Adon or Vega are evil but they are unapologetically so, they are fun to watch. Dong Hwan is just a prick and his brother the human equivalent to stale bread.

Also Chun Li due to 3rd Strike related trauma.

Cloud Strife is mid in a otherwise game that is an excellent meta-ananisis of its own franchise, i get he is the typical "Brushes everything by being awesome" but the way is handled (Making him look more like a creep and that being due to in a spoiler friendly TLRD being high in fantasy drugs) feels kinda clumsy, especially compared to better meta analisis of the archetype

I don't know why people like Michael from GTA V. Like I do have some sympathy for him because of how his wife and child treats him, but c'mon, dude can be a grade a a-hole himself.

He literally fakes his death and made trevor believe that he died because of him. (Yes trevor's a loose cannon, but he was always loyal to michael, and one could argue that trevor's mental health worsen because he believed that michael died because of him)
He is literally the type of person that Niko from GTA IV would spit at.
And yeah, while his wife and child are shit to him, he is no good to them either. And as a father, he is an absolute a-hole. Yes, Trevor's a loose cannon and borderline psychopathic, but there's an enjoyment in his unpredictability. Franklin is much more humble because of his background. Michael though...yeah he is literally the GTA protagonist equivalent of a Karen.
