What your thoughts on Dual Protagonist?

Most people think of protagonist, they usually think of one person but sometimes protagonist can be more than one person like two.

Guys what you think about Dual Protagonist within media?

If it's done well. If it elevates the material, then yes. Last of Us is a good example.
OTHO, if it's being done as a gimmick then it's more of a distraction.

It depends creating two Protagonists can be hard and makes it easy to mess the Story and Character up,on the other Hand if done right it can make the story more intriguing by giving different angles to look at the story and so on.

Yeah like Raggs said, it can be great if it's done right.

Or you can be like Final Fantasy VI and be ambiguous on who the protagonist is.
Is it Terra? Locke? Celes? All of them, why not?

Yes, Like RE2 or Yakuza 0, multiple protagonist is ok.

but yeah, even on other media, its ok to have multi protagonist if done correctly.

Sometimes it's great like in The Last Of Us 1, but usually it sucks like in The Last Of Us 2. Even a studio who managed to make it work once couldn't repeat that magic a second time. It's a delicate thing to pull off

It's tricky to identify something as having two protagonists as people will often point to one character being the deuteragonist. However, I think a great example of a movie where two characters both seem to be driving the story is Mad Max Fury Road. Many people view Furiosa as the main character yet all of her efforts would have ended in failure where it not for Max helping her throughout the movie and it is his name in the title after all. Max is an interesting character as he seems to end up in other people's stories.
