Let's say you created your own personal arcade. You have a nice, large area, room, basement, attic, etc. in your house that you're not using for anything else. So you fill it up with arcade machines, pinball machines, maybe air hockey or a pool table too. What games would you want in your personal home arcade? Let's say theoretically that you could get any game you want. This is basically a dream scenario. So go wild!

For me:

Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga Episode III
The Simpsons - The Japanese version which is much more balanced IMO
Metamorphic Force - Japanese version
Golden Axe
Um Jammer Lammy NOW!
Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa
Strider 2
Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy
Elevator Action Returns
Mega Man the Power Battle
Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters
Cannon Spike
Nightmare in the Dark
Street Fighter II: Rainbow Edition
Mortal Kombat II
X-Men vs Street Fighter
Marvel Super Heroes
The Last Blade 2
Vampire Savior

A Tekken game
A Dead or Alive game
A Soul Calibur game
A Guilty Gear game
Red Earth
Project Justice
WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game
NBA Jam - Especially Tournament Edition if that one ever got an arcade release
Gauntlet Dark Legacy
Crazy Taxi
The Nintendo VS. System
SEGA's Mega Play cabinet

Custom built cabinets with a PC or console inside running these games because they look and feel like arcade games or have origins in arcades:

Sayonara Wild Hearts
Haunted Castle Revisited
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Maximo Ghosts to Glory
Castle Crashers
Raging Justice
The TakeOver
Volgarr the Viking
Streets of Red - Devil's Dare Deluxe
Avengers United Battle Force
And also The SNES version of Turtles in Time because it's way better than the arcade version

I'd also have some sort of VR game set up like an Oculus Quest or PSVR with a selection of arcade style games like Until Dawn: Rush of Blood

And lastly, this:

Screenshot-2021-04-16-124223.jpg

And some sort of custom Steel Battalion set up, like this thing:

Cabal,
That one Quake cabinet,
A SEGA Mega Play cabinet,
Pac-Man,
Virtua Cop,
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3,
That one obscure ass Japanese Half-Life 2 cabinet,
That one obscure ass Japanese Counter-Strike cabinet,
Golden Axe,
House of the Dead 1 & 2

There are probably a lot more, but these are the ones I can think of.

The necessary stuff would be:

Castlevania the Arcade

Beat-em-ups I used to 1 cc

Captain America and the Avengers
Bucky O'Hare (Japanese version)
Simpsons
Dual Screen Arcade X-men up to 6 players
Hook (Japanese version)

Fighters
All the Marvel vs Capcom Titles,
Street Fighter Alpha 1-3 including the Asia version of Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha
All the Street Fighter 2 games
All the Street Fighter 3 games
All the Darkstalker games
KOF 94-KOF 2003

Misc
Pac-Baby
Cowboys of Moo Mesa
Prop Cycle (For Exercise)

All I need is a Sonic The Fighters machine. Or, if not that, one of those Astro City machines with Virtua Fighter 3 inside it.

Carnevil, Virtua Cop, Daytona USA, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, House Of The Dead, Panic Bomber, Rampage and Dragon's Lair would all be must-haves.

Other than that... Table football and air hockey.

I've actually put thought into this many a time, mainly in the hypothetical context of a good lineup for a commercial arcade.

Dungeons and Dragons: Shadows Over Mystara, non-negotiable
The Punisher
Golden Axe
House of the Dead 1+2, also non-negotiable
Ocean Hunter, complete with a thematic cabinet with a submarine design
Any of the Snow Bros games
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
Crossed Swords
Dynamite Duke
Puyo Puyo
Metal Slug 3 and X
SF Alpha 3
MvC1 and/or 2
X-Men vs SF
Daytona, of course
Usual air hockey and basketball games, goes without saying
You cannot have an arcade without a soda bar and low overhead cost food service, also goes without saying.

If it wasn't so insanely expensive and kind of a famously dead market, I'd love to run an arcade. One of the only ways people get away with it now is by bundling it up with other types of entertainment in the same building.

You already put most badass games into it what i would put into .

I would also add :
-Violent Storm
-Battletoads (Arcade)
-Nightslashers
-Splatterhouse
-Roboarmy
-Mutation Nation
-SamSho 2-5
-Metal Slug 1-6
-Undercover cops

But i would put some spicy sauce into my arcade to turn it into a flashy Las Vegas caliber sensation.

Thats right ! Hot female Strippers ! ::goblingrin
