I'd be remiss not to mention my personal favourite movie tie in game. THE GOAT! Spider-Man 2 for the PS2. But I enjoyed others too, I remember vibing with the Finding Nemo and Cars PS2 games as well. I always found it funny how lots of the cutscenes in Finding Nemo was just super compressed clips of the movie.

Star Wars as a franchise had some absolute bangers back in the day - Jedi Knight, Knights of the Old Rebublic and so on, but I don't think those count as movie tie-ins, strictly speaking... maybe Republic Commando? That was definitely a good one.

Ghostbusters the Video Game is amazing, basically serving as a third movie. I included both because the 360/PS3 and the Remasters have different level layouts from the Wii, PS2 and PSP version, they're basically different games with similar segments and plots that are close, but not quite the same. I'm surprised they didn't remaster both versions of the game considering how different they actually are besides gameplay. Personally I kinda prefer the Wii/PS2/PSP version because of the more cartoony art style, level layouts and different/modified boss fights.

Rango on the PlayStation 3 was pretty fun. It served as a sequel to the movie but was unfortunately very short. You could finish it in about four hours.

I always liked how the game ties some things that leads to Tron Legacy and the Voice of the antagonist "Abraxas" is very unique, John Glover did a great job.

Goldeneye on the N64. I'm surprised nobody mentioned it yet. Between the level design, the gun variety and having actual missions to complete (versus just finishing the level like its FPS compatriots at the time) it really was a masterpiece for the time. Truly felt like a labour of love to me and not a rush job to capitalize on a movie.

King Kong on PS2 was great, and I remember enjoying Enter the Matrix, but that was probably more to do with the cheat disc than the game itself.

Honestly, Toy Story 3 was a great tie-in that I had a load of fun playing, and I know that the first SAW game isn't technically tied directly into a specific movie, but that's also pretty good if you're into grimy horror/action games.

Edit: forgot this one - Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit on the PlayStation 2 is awesome is a 3D action adventure game.

There really have been a few good ones over the years. One I found to be pretty good was Terminator Salvation, which I think functioned as like a prequel to the film, it's been a hot minute since I played it. I do remember enjoying most of it though, besides one or two on rails turret segments which were sort of difficult. Another one, maybe not a movie but a tv series tie in, is The Simpsons Game. I never would have played this one if a friend hadn't insisted upon it, and I'm glad they did. If you enjoy games like banjo kazooie or space station silicon valley, or other character adventure type platform games you'll probably enjoy The Simpsons Game.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault on Dark Athena, Ghostbusters (Xbox 360), Scarface: The World Is Yours, The Godfather: The Game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, The Thing, The Warriors, Alien Isolation, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Terminator: Resistance, RoboCop: Rogue City

House of the Dead

Honestly, my pick would have to go to either Scarface: The World Is Yours or the PS2/Wii Speed Racer game, both actually have competent gameplay and are pretty fun and good romps.

It has flaws but its cool what it does and it aint bad at all .
Maybe average but the Soundtrack elevates this game easily .
