a yellow PSP, bought almost 20 years ago and still working fine today. Had minor surgery (multiple battery changes and 1 time power switch board change).

I'm still amazed how this device stays alive.

Too many memories with this one, I will frame it and keep it as a house deco if it dies one day.

I believe its a black PSP 1000, Nintendo handhelds back then in my country wasn't as prominent as Sony's.

But now Switch is literally everywhere I see whenever I go to a game store.

Gameboy Advance with the little twisty light you could attach to it. Played SMW advance 2, and Kirby Nightmare in dreamland all night.

Game Boy Color with Pokémon Blue.

What a damning intro to gaming I had. My father bought a used SNES off someone at work. It came with Super Mario World, Super Bases Loaded, and Street Fighter 2. That next half year I got the Game Boy. I absorbed every core genre in less than a year.

Probably why I'm butterfly effecting this reply on this forum.

SNES at age six...Didn't do the trick for whatever reason, so I sadly don't feel any nostalgia for it at all.
I didn't end up get hooked on gaming until the PS1 came out about three years later. Maybe I was too young to appreciate the SNES...

Edit: I'm an idiot and can't read what forum or topic I'm in lmao so I'll add that a big beautiful black original Game Boy was my first handheld, and I played through so very many AA batteries lol. I feel blessed to have grown up during a time when everyone had a link cable and knew the pain of squinting at a poorly lit screen.

My first handheld was a PSP 3000.

I played that thing to death and beyond. I remember coming home from classes in high school and playing it for hours on end every day.
I happen to love jrpgs and the PSP had plenty for me to sink many hours into them.|

Technically it was a pink ds lite on my 5th(?) birthday, but at that point I stole my brothers dsi so much it became mine lol

original DMG sometime mid 90s, i have a faint memory of me somehow 'losing' (??like i wish i had stolen it lol, seriously LOSING the thing) my older brothers gameboy? he must've been pissed. but then i got one

perhaps that was the rents pulling the ol' sly on me, and maybe my older bro did something to get punished for and they made him 'give' me his gameboy. lol funny thing to consider/only just realize now

i member having mortal kombat 1 and 2, and they were fucking hard as shit. i think i figured out way to cheese mk2 on original gameboy but i recall 1 being an absolute asshole, though admittedly i was a child
