What was your first Disney movie

The Lion King (Animated, it sucks that I have to specify that) was the first movie I saw in theaters, and the only movie I've seen in theaters twice (I was pre-Kindergarten at the time). Its probably still my favorite, although I like a lot of the animated Disney films.
why are you specifying? there's only one lion king movie and a couple of dvd sequels. we aren't going to confuse simba with kimba: the white lion. they are nothing alike. ;)

first disney movie i ever saw was dragonslayer. and that movie isn't even on disney plus.
I was so sure that was a Paramount, apparently it was a joint production between them and Disney?

Wild movie though, the scene early on where the wizard dares the kings goon to stab him? Amazing, I couldn't stop laughing. Guillermo Del Toro is on the DVD commentary, he's better at talking about Dragonslayer than the actual director, and graciously leads him down interesting conversations about the film.

nope it wasnt paramount at all, 100 percent all disney. disney at that time didnt have many animation people to make movies, since many of them had retired already, thats why you saw them making many movies that didnt require those people. they made tron and the black hole and of course dragonslayer at that time.

i think the first disney movie i saw was during their vhs era either the rescuers down under my movie from my childhood, shall i tell you guys why?

well, when i was little i rewind the tape of the rescuers down under for my favorite parts and then i kept doing it for so much that my parents have to go some place to have someone repair a vcr

not what i was expecting. i would do that too.

It was either The Sword and the Stone or The Black Cauldron, my family are Asterix enjoyers so anything vaguely medieval or historical looking was always put on first!
Asterix is GOAT!!! **high five** I grew up on Asterix and Tintin :D

Great Mouse Detective was an amazing and criminally underrated movie. Fight me.
Was one of my favorites as a kid. I thought Basil was super cool!

To answer the question, I couldn't tell you for the life of me. We had a lot of Disney VHS's when I was a kid, and my mom, dad, and grandma all had different once, so depending on whom I stayed at I would watch anything from Snow White to Aristocats, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Black Gauldron, Great Mouse Detective, Fox & Hound, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Again, couldn't tell you which I saw first.

I do recall though that my first Disney film in theatres was Emperor's New Grove in 2000. I remember because me and my brother went with our grandma where she got us a Happy Meal that was of course themed after the movie, plus because she had ordered the tickets last minute (I assume) we got seats all the way up front so we had to sit there and awkwardly bend out necks for 1½ hours.

My first in theaters was most likely The Little Mermaid seeing as how it came out a year after I did and I know for certain I saw it on the big screen. Yes, that could have been a later re-showing or something, but that's all I've got to work with.

The first I saw at all was most likely Peter Pan or Pinocchio, though there's a lot it could have been because I grew up on basically all of them and was exposed to tons at about the same time.

My hands down favorite is the Hunchback of Notre Dame, though. Despite some serious issues with how Disney is as a company and a lot of their recent works, I'm still a huge fan of the classics.
