a game called Nightmare was a memorable board game for me
mostly because it was so scary it literally gave me nightmares.

one time only a few years ago, i was describing this game to one of my close friends and he randomly walked out the door and grabbed a nightmare box out of his boot, i couldn't believe he actually had one in his car.. we couldn't play it though because no VCR :(
but it was nostalgic to see it again irl

another board game called Mastermind is also memorable to me as it induced my very first rage quit

Another one I should mention are the 2002 era Star Wars extendable lightsabers

I legitimately believe that playing with these as a kid helped plant the seed for my love of swords, which led to me practicing Kendo, and developing a love of martial arts. Funny how a silly toy can impact us so much.

I would've loved this as a kid!

The plastic sword talk also reminds me of these plastic katana/ninja swords that were common in the 90s.

One of my earliest memories is goofing around with one of these. I remember having the red one, and thinking it was the coolest thing.
