It has been many beers ago, but I still remember. I'm not going to go all the way to when I was a small baby, though I do remember lemon cake being my first cake, so I could potentially think of something. No, I'd say more stream video focused, which for me was an amv of Rurouni Kenshin with the song Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins. I watched it on repeat in my schools library. Yes this thread is a stupid response to the other one.

uh something on TV or VHS in the late eighties /early nineties. If we're talking on computer, the music video for Buddy Holly by Weezer that came with Windows 95 installation CD-ROM. Internet? could have been anything, probably a music video from MuchMusic.com I remember watching them on 56k dial-up.

that will be hard to recall....
But I do remember the 1st video I stream on the internet... it was back when internet cafe were just introduced and we were busy asking for A/S/L in mIRC.
I went over to this website called Gamespot and click on this sneakpeek video of a game called "Metal Gear Solid". The video were really small in size but I have to wait for it to buffer.... but I was blown away by the game's design.. hahaha

My dad had a camera so technically that.

But as far as internet videos go, I'm gonna guess this one:

This was before youtube
So was that amv. I think it was dailymotion

If we talk about Youtube it was the ending of Dragon Ball GT, it was the first time I met Youtube by accident back in 2005.
But if you mean a video like a VHS I really don't remember which was the first one.

Well in past I didn't know youthobe at all! I always stick with videos I find in my local site(which had .com for some reasons and instead of half net they take whole!) First one I was his stream was this guy "MH12" he is a fan of Naruto who watch main episodes 14 times and Konami delete his character in ds3 for a cheater! (He had 102 hours timeplay with that!) First video I saw from him was hitman blood money. He play it like gaming lemon in cheff episode to me!
Here is my favorite hitman duty episode:
Note: he isn't a hitman player,he more than a ds player so this act more like ds absolution.

If we're talking in general. My earliest memory of any kind of video is either Beast Wars or Ducktales, maybe some whale documentary, but I don't stictly remember that.

Youtube?
This

Some of the earliest memories I have of watching something on TV were Japanese sentai shows like Changeman, but it's mostly a haze. I vaguely remember some cartoons, too like Dungeons and Dragons, Johnny Quest, Centurions and Pole Position.

Honestly, I don't remember my first video clear;y. But I do know a medium where I was introduced to YouTube, and that was though the Wii.

It was at this very moment, were my young acoustic chimp brain discovered a whole new world of imagination

Either something nintendo related or an old youtube poop that got taken down for copyright reasons, I don't remember

The earliest memory of media I can actively recall is two large Robots towering over a city.

I always assumed it was some MechWarrior commercial.

Then when I was 16 and I started to watch Seaquest DSV on DVD I discovered they were from the episode "Playtime", from its (atrocious) second season, way back in 1994.
Okay, probably 1995 considering I live outside of the US and we usually got a shows several months, if not years after the US.
I can't find the exact screenshot but this thing was one of the robots/Mechs:

I would have been two years old? 🤯

Like, there's this thing. Then absolutely nothing until I was like 5 or 6 years old lol

On Youtube, the original upload of this

On Albinoblacksheep, Numa Numa, The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, or Ze End of Ze World

My Mind is totally blank on that one,i don't really recall what my first video was, well I watched many Animes on Youtube back than, and some parody animation, wait maybe Creepy Pasta Videos where some of the first once I watched online like Jeff the Killer and so on,not the first Video I watched but the first one from this Youtuber that I watched for years until I stopped
Its in German so don't expect to Understand that you could try to Auto Generate Translated Subtitles but those are of questionable qualtity.I also watched this Youtuber back than quite a lot
I really don't know why i was into the whole horror stuff despite being easily scared and having problems sleeping because of that not because of those two videos though more because of some really scary creepy pastas in the day.

It’s still there after all these years!

This is the oldest video I watched that was a YouTube exclusive. Being honest, and I would never raise my own kids like this, I was the first generation of “IPad Kids” in a way. The IPad was not around, but my parents would sit me in front of the computer in 2006 to watch YouTube reuploads of Transformers. I also remember stumbling across Transformers toy reviews from Shartimus Prime. But, when I got into Star Wars around the age of 5, this was the video I discovered.

It’s sad how many old videos I once watched that are now gone. But, no need to be upset about the ones that are gone! I’m just happy that some of them are still around after all these years!

Here’s to a happy 20th birthday, YouTube! You aren’t the best site, in fact you’re kind of crap, but you’re indispensable for creating a more centralized internet environment, and nobody can take that away from you.
