What was the earliest game you remember playing?

I remember always wishing that I had a physical art of that game.... the only games I remember us having is Pokémon Yellow (which I destroyed), Metroid 2: Return of Samus, and Tetris.
I had Pokémon Red and it was amazing. I only ever knew one person who had Pokémon Yellow and I was amazed Pikachu followed you around. I think those early Pokémon games were a great entry into JRPG's as a whole. Still haven't played a Metroid game (yet)

Captain commando??
Oooh this looks a fair bit like the Captain America & The Avengers beat 'em up. Worth a play if you haven't

Like many others, I started my game journey in my local arcade. I remember playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game when I was a kid.

One of these (mine had a racing game in it), the sound effects were cool :D

Too sick. I'm yet to play the TMNT games but I see they've just released a megapack of them for most modern consoles. I think one of the earliest arcade memories I have is playing the original House of the Dead, or a Beatmania/DDR game

I've always meant to play DuckTales. Enjoyed the show whenever I caught it growing up, and I love Quackshot, which I feel is at least DuckTales adjacent
I always thought "Count Duckula" was better.

The first game I ever played was i think was pitfall or pong or breakout on the atari 2600

It was super Mario bros. on the NES. I think it was around 1991. One year later I've got the Super Nintendo for christmas. It was magical back then.

W.. What do you mean you've never played a Metroid game before? If you have an android phone, get MyBoy now and start playing Zero Mission! That's honestly a good starter to the series, and it's a perfect remake of the NES original.

I have myBoy but I have PC as well...do you reckon I should start with the original or go straight to the remake? :)

I prefer the remake as the original has controls that are unbearable to deal with, but if you want to play the original before the remake, then go ahead! You'll have a wonderful surprise to see the difference from 1986 to 2004.

In my case it was Sonic heroes, Sonic Riders, Lego Star Wars 2: The original trilogy and Pokemon XD, all on the Gamecube, but the first was Sonic Heroes.

Wait wasn't there a thread similar to this? I'm I seeing ghosts now?

I remember da first game I ever played was airstrike 3d helicopter makes things explode and that's really it.

Future Wars/Time Travellers on the Atari ST. This adventure had fascinated me to the point of obsession. I had first played it at my school friend's house, which prompted me to purchase the same computer. Thereafter, I have always followed closely the video game creations of Eric Chahi and Paul Cuisset, who certainly need no introduction...

No apparitions don't worry, you're right there was a thread that covered this topic that's been linked to earlier in this one. I'm new to the forums and hadn't trawled back far enough to see it had already been asked (though I kinda guessed it probably had been). So I started my own thread about it. :)

3D Helicopter game sounds cool, but I'm even more intrigued to know what your favourite FF game is. I'm currently playing the 3D remake of IV and it rules. My fave overall is still X

7 is excellent for sure...
The order for me is
X > IV > VII > VI > XIII-2, Type-0, XIII, XV
I haven't played enough of the others to rank them but on disc 2 of VIII and IX and enjoyed both. Tactics is next though.

Will check out the thread at some point. ?

Super Mario Bros 3 for me. I couldn't have been any older than 2 or 3, it's the oldest memory I still somewhat remember. I played Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 really young too. Getting knocked into the Dead Pool by the CPU was my first exposure to death as a concept and it messed baby me up a bit at the time.

Yeah 4 is a good game I like how much of a punching bag the game makes you , you never feel strong or very strong just barely cutting it , golbez always has the upper hand , villains in FF games are quite well done literally coolest introduction of a villian has to be the sorceress in 8.

I put a small paragraph on the FF thread (coolest thread here) it might be of interest to you as its about tactics.
