I've been going to arcades every 2 weeks or so, isn't so fun to play alone so I bring friends or family with me. Some machines seem impossible to beat like that one where you try to catch different bulls and you keep tapping the button in the middle to catch it. And the racing ones are too hard for me Lol. My favorite one is House of the Dead 4, it's fun shooting down Zombies And getting chased by a gigantic one I've beaten this game several times and haven't gotten bored of it. What about you? What's your favorite?

Most House of the Dead are my fav, on the contrary I don't like playing with people so I always play Akimbo.

Probably the Time Crisis games for me, the home versions are enjoyable but it's not quite the same without the pedal action of the arcade machine.

Marvel vs Capcom 2...and if they had Street Fighter 2, would play that too.

I haven't played many at all (because there weren't many available where I live and the ones who were around when I was a kid had a 16+ rating to use), but I had an amazing time playing the Theatrhythm arcade cabinet at a con several years ago.

There was a short lived "adventure place" kind of a building here that had stuff like bowling, go-karts, escape rooms and such, and it had a small arcade section where you could play stuff like House of the Dead and a bunch of others, but I mainly played the mame machine with some friends because it had a bunch of fighting games.

Definitely those with a big gun, shooting monsters and aliens stuff

As the "whole arcade experience" I love those cabinets with moving parts like After burner or Hang-on.
Also light gun games with more active mechanics like the Police 911 series or the Jurassic Park one(The Lost world)

Typing of the Dead arcade cabinet at a local arcade. Was really cool to be able to play it like that.

Between Time Crisis II and Kong, I almost always will go to those first if there's one at an arcade.

Probably the time I played a Gals Panic machine and kept getting Showtime DX so a kid who was off to the side playing air hockey with his dad, could see the naked cartoon ladies

If that doesn't count, then either Bemani stuff like Pop'n Music or Beatmania just due to the size of the hardware, or the 3-screen F355 Challenge machine, or the Hokuto No Ken one where you hit the pads on the sides of the screen. Part of me really feels like I had a go at an R360, but it's fuzzy enough of a memory that maybe it's from a dream.

Gotta be something that can't be easily replicated at home!

OutRun. i had arcade tokens in my pockets and they spilled out in the side of the machine and they were going forever.

I don't know the name of it, as I don't read Japanese, but yesterday I was at the Seattle Pinball Museum and they have this machine that's a Konami 3-player that you control with buttons like Pop'n Music, but the gameplay was rapid-fire 3v3 minigames that reminded me of Point Blank's presentation. The games I saw included one that was just Pop'n Music, one where you had to guide a little guy through a maze as quickly as possible, one where you rotate multi-colored patterns until you match the example, and a handful of others. I cleared the first tournament and got a trophy of a bald buff guy, then the next tier was like in heaven? I lost there. But it was cool, I bet with 3 players it's great fun.

I've played so many different arcade machines throughout my life so it's a little hard to pick one favorite. If I had to pick a single one that probably took the most of my money it would be NBA Jam.

Probably House Of The Dead.

At one point I was even showing off and pretended to hit the screen with the butt of my gun.

The employees weren't amused XD

Sad part is I not seen an arcade in my country sense I was 15.

But I would say the ones I liked was.
Sega rally

one I can´t remember what game it was but you sat on a fake motorcycle.

Jurassic park one where you sat in a dark booth and started of with you on the back of a car shooting dinos that runs after you.

And a favorite my local game stor had back in the day 5 in 1 arcde machine that had a few game and first time I ever played Metal slug.

But game stores and aracdes has not been around for a while now. I think our last game store we had in my city closed down back in 2015. So not had a game store in a decade now.

I think our capital city has 1-2 or games stores left but im not taking a 7 hour train tripp for that.

It sucks that games stores and aracdes is a thing of the past.
