Since TV show adaptations of videogames have gotten better over the years I wanted to ask you:
What videogame do you wanna see as a TV show?

There was a pitch for a Crash Bandicoot cartoon not too long ago, honestly unlike a lot of the fanbase I'm kinda glad it got rejected, it seemed really hyperactive. Crash Bandicoot is really goofy and such, but I feel like the better parts of that series were always upbeat and slapstick while also knowing when to dial it back and get serious. A lot of kids stuff goes at like 70mph these days and I miss when these writers treated kids like human beings and not 2 braincell animals in a cage. But if someone did it right, and it had good plots, Crash could be a really good cartoon series. The game's have a really nice roster of zany characters that are all unique in some way. Except Catbat and Rilla Roo, they kinda suck.

Sly Cooper should get a cartoon, I'd watch it. While they're at it, maybe they could finally bring his story to a definitive conclusion, NO MORE CLIFFHANGERS!!!

Soul Sacrifice Delta.
They made this anime trailer but never turned it into a full-fledged series. The story and lore had so much potential to become something massive.

Honestly not a single one. If they gonna turn a game in to a show it better be an anime and made by a good anime studio with the original writers of the game.

Western media should not make tv or movie adaptation of games they suck at it. I mean sure sonic movie are good but remember their first design of sonic. Also a good sonic movie does not make up for a sea of shit they made.
I agree with you.
While western adaptations of videogames are waaaay better than they were 10-30 years ago,
There are still some bad adaptations here and there (*cough* Borderlands movie *cough*).
And speaking of sonic, could you imagine an anime adaptation of sonic the hedgehog made by Studio Trigger?! That'd be awesome!

All of the classic LucasArts Adventure games. They'd translate pretty well if you ask me. A lot better than some games...

Of course it'll never happen though. Since popularity determines whether or not a game gets adapted, not how well it would adapt into said new medium.

Pretty sure that amazon is doing it but I would choose Mass Effect, specially 2 where some missions feels like episodes.

Another one I think it could work: Assassin's Creed 1, each assesination objective could be an episode with Altair investigating them while helping the city and later discovering some truth at the end of each epsisode.

Sorry to be a downer, but I'd say no more adaptations. The Amazon adaptation of Like a Dragon solidified it for me, since even to this day you'll more likely to find people in film and TV that think video games are just silly garbage.

They'll toss out everything that made the games unique and either shove in a their own storyline they arrogantly think is superior to the source (such as Like a Dragon) or make the stupidest story possible since they think people that like the source are morons (like Super Mario Brothers 1993). There's no care put into them unless you got the parent company breathing down their necks, like with the more recent Super Mario movie.

I think a Baldur's Gate show that focused on the goings-on in the city itself could be pretty cool, and not the typical story the games have.
You could make it like Rome, but with whimsical magic coupled with the cool political intrigue.

The DnD movie a few years ago was really fun, imo.

I wanna quote @SwordBreaker39 on this:
"Western media should not make tv or movie adaptation of games they suck at it."
I'm starting to get tired of western adaptations of videogames. I want more japanese anime adaptations of games, like Sonic X or Kirby: Right Back At Ya!

It's easier to do a light-hearted story I think.
Yeah, probably.
But as a contemporary example, Baldur's Gate 3 has a great mix of light-hearted storytelling, and "deeper", more serious drama, and it doesn't feel like one ever replaces the other to me.

As with all DnD media, and especially Forgotten Realms where "everything is canon", it comes down to the vision of the creator, and how well they execute it. :)
