What videogame do you wanna see turned into a TV show?

There was a pitch for a Crash Bandicoot cartoon not too long ago, honestly unlike a lot of the fanbase I'm kinda glad it got rejected, it seemed really hyperactive. Crash Bandicoot is really goofy and such, but I feel like the better parts of that series were always upbeat and slapstick while also knowing when to dial it back and get serious. A lot of kids stuff goes at like 70mph these days and I miss when these writers treated kids like human beings and not 2 braincell animals in a cage. But if someone did it right, and it had good plots, Crash could be a really good cartoon series. The game's have a really nice roster of zany characters that are all unique in some way. Except Catbat and Rilla Roo, they kinda suck.

Honestly not a single one. If they gonna turn a game in to a show it better be an anime and made by a good anime studio with the original writers of the game.

Western media should not make tv or movie adaptation of games they suck at it. I mean sure sonic movie are good but remember their first design of sonic. Also a good sonic movie does not make up for a sea of shit they made.

Sly Cooper should get a cartoon, I'd watch it. While they're at it, maybe they could finally bring his story to a definitive conclusion, NO MORE CLIFFHANGERS!!!

Soul Sacrifice Delta.
They made this anime trailer but never turned it into a full-fledged series. The story and lore had so much potential to become something massive.

I agree with you.
While western adaptations of videogames are waaaay better than they were 10-30 years ago,
There are still some bad adaptations here and there (*cough* Borderlands movie *cough*).
And speaking of sonic, could you imagine an anime adaptation of sonic the hedgehog made by Studio Trigger?! That'd be awesome!

Yeah it be epic fore sure. And yeah west has become better but still. I mean how big hits where the both Hitman movies, Assassin creed movie, Warcraft "I kind of liked it but still" Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story, Rampage, Monster hunter.

So many movie yet non of the big box office hits. But as I always say making movies or show animated or anime works better becuse there are things in video games you can never ever pull of in live action with out CGI and CGI today is worse than CGI back in the day it´s like we become wrose at CGI >.<

Honestly Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild is better than the live action one. Also they need to quit using Milla Jovovich for game movies.

All of the classic LucasArts Adventure games. They'd translate pretty well if you ask me. A lot better than some games...

Of course it'll never happen though. Since popularity determines whether or not a game gets adapted, not how well it would adapt into said new medium.

Pretty sure that amazon is doing it but I would choose Mass Effect, specially 2 where some missions feels like episodes.

Another one I think it could work: Assassin's Creed 1, each assesination objective could be an episode with Altair investigating them while helping the city and later discovering some truth at the end of each epsisode.

What´s funny is they made a movie on Dungeon seige but allot of people don´t even know it´s a movie based on the game. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

That´s how well game movies work some times.

Sorry to be a downer, but I'd say no more adaptations. The Amazon adaptation of Like a Dragon solidified it for me, since even to this day you'll more likely to find people in film and TV that think video games are just silly garbage.

They'll toss out everything that made the games unique and either shove in a their own storyline they arrogantly think is superior to the source (such as Like a Dragon) or make the stupidest story possible since they think people that like the source are morons (like Super Mario Brothers 1993). There's no care put into them unless you got the parent company breathing down their necks, like with the more recent Super Mario movie.

Ring of power showed that Amazon should stay the hell away from making movies or TV show´s what so ever.

Yet sadly they are making a warhammer 40k series and it most likely be trash slop. I honestly feel sorry for Henry Cavil fist Netflix trash Witcher to the point it make Henry not wasting to have anything to do with it then he wanna make a 40k series and who do he get bloody Amazon.

Why is it so hard to stay true to original source material ?? But sadly that´s how western media is today they wanna destroy everything you love because they don´t like it.

I honestly quit watching movies and TV shows from west it´s just become trash. I miss the good old days when we had Married with children, Home Improvement, Friends, Star trek DS9, Voyager and so on when they made neat shows like Tera Nova, Dark matter, Kill joys, Defiance.

But no even Star trek and star wars has become crap it´s like they are competing who can write the worst crap you ever seen.

I canceled my netflix 4 years ago now and honestly I have not subed to any streaming media ever sense becuse there is nothing I wanna watch not a single damn thing.

I keep playing games and watching anime and I used to watch loads of movies to the point my IMDB list has around 1 299 movies and TV shows. I used to watch like 20-30 movies a year now for the past 10 years I watch maybe 2-5 movies a year and 0-1 tv shows a year.

I think a Baldur's Gate show that focused on the goings-on in the city itself could be pretty cool, and not the typical story the games have.
You could make it like Rome, but with whimsical magic coupled with the cool political intrigue.

The DnD movie a few years ago was really fun, imo.

Yeah both DnD movies are good the new one is rely good and Chirs pine was a solid pick.
But also the first DnD movie is a gold classic and equally as funny.

It´s like the ones who made both the movies have played DnD and now how silly a dnd campaign can get.

This had me Dying of laughter.
