What video game systems do you own?

would love a saturn and/or dreamcast because they look way too cool

Does this count as retro yet? Recently the console and controller got new shells.

I downsized my collection a few years ago, so now I've just got a PS2 (since it was the one I used the most anyways).

Before that, I had a GameCube (which I might get again soon), Xbox, Wii, Xbox 360 and backwards compatible PS3.

I currently own a PSone, a Dreamcast, a OG Xbox, a GBA SP and a DS.

What I would like to get next is a 360, a PS2 and a GameCube and a PSP or PSVita (maybe both).

Tho I need get money and space so I could use them.

>PSP.

My PC is not strong enough to emulate it. Technically i have one but its a broken piece of shit (it turns off randomly)

>N64.

N64 emulation is so dogshit that i would rather prefer to play the real thing. I actually have an Everdrive 64 and a HDMI 64 adapter just in case i get one.

>PS3

Same as PSP, but i don't have one.

There's a store in my city called Retro Pulgas and they sell some of thses consoles. So maybe i should just bite the bullet and take a chance.

The psp issue is likely either a short in the battery, or the electrical circuit disconnects or is shorting somewhere, it's probably fixable.
N64 emulation shouldn't be bad, the main problem would likely be emulator performance on your system if you have trouble emulating psp.
Currently ares is the best emulator for n64, but it has some steep requirements for n64 in particular, at least if your on windows.
RMG, gopher65 and the retroarch core mupen64plus-next are other good ones, so you might want to give those a try.

Ps3 i can't help you with, if you have trouble with psp then ps3 is obvious.

I have too many that don't get used enough as it is. The only thing I really want are one of two of the Japanese PS2 variants that are blue, they look super cool. As it is, I have a NES, SNES, jungle green N64, GC, Wii, Wii U, Switch 1 and 2, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, PS4 Pro, PS5, 360, Series X, 2 PSPs, a Vita, Vita TV, GB Pocket, DS Lite, DSi LL, 3DS, New 3DS XL and a New 3DS LL that I need to mod. And a 3DO I found at a garage sale years ago. I don't plan to sell them, but they definitely are just collecting dust for the most part aside from the modern systems. And I have a couple RetroPies that have been neglected, though those aren't consoles of course. I did downsize and trade to a game store a lot of the retro games I had several years ago and just kept my favorites.

The Magnavox Odyssey.

I am not joking, I seek to play the genesis of video games at home.

Considering that the 3DS is like 14 years old (a bit younger than the SNES was when the Wii launched) is it a retro console?

Surely it is, right? It doesn't feel that old to me since it's modern-ish. The SNES was considered retro when the Wii came out, and that was a gap of 15 years worldwide between the launch of both systems. From the launch of the 3DS to the launch of the Switch 2 there's a 14 year gap. Console generations are just longer now compared to the 90s.

Somehow, I don't have a SNES. Maybe someday.

Other than that... I'd really like a Japanese PS2 for imports. The softmod most people recommend doesn't work on my NA PS2 model :\

Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, GBA SP, Game Gear, Wii, PS2, GC, and 360.

Definitely a Wii U for hyrule warriors, mario kart 8 or the wii for the gamecube compatibility.

A Nintendo ds and a ps2,i will download various emulators on DS but at the same time i dream of buying a game boy color and a advance

Nothing else matters... I want my old Dreamcast back.

Model 1 Mega Drive, Model 1 Master System, a (decent) Famiclone and I have a GameBoy Color somewhere but I can't find it, would LOVE to own a Model 1 Mega CD and Saturn but it's having somewhere to store them plus I've gotta be honest with myself: As much as I love old hardware it is just that now...OLD hardware, keeping them maintained etc is expensive and I'd rather not mess around with all that when I can just run everything on my PC with USB controllers.

TBH, it would probably be better if you got the Mega Everdrive Pro if you wanna play Mega CD titles

Yeah I considered that too but if I were to play them I'd prefer an original Mega CD although that would be a lot more convenient.

As I said...emulation, it's just easier, all the consoles/computers I want on one system with no disc rot to deal with or anything along those lines. I'd been tinkering with original hardware for years from the age of 12 in the year 2000 so that stuff was getting on in age back then, now we're talking an extra 26 years of age on these components.
