I got one last year with that same issue and just swapped out the disc drive with a Fenrir ODE. Little guy works like a champ now.

They have the Fenrir Lite now that costs half the price as the old Fenrir Duo that I picked up a year ago. It's a simple no-solder swap that only takes a few minutes.

If it's due to the laser disc, there is this thing I saw a while back called Satiator where it's plugged into the back of the Saturn, connecting to the FRAM. It plays off of an SD Card iirc. It's pricey though, costing at $199.

Fenrir is half the price and works just as well. If the laser is already dead no use in keeping it. You just unplug it and put the Fenrir in it's place. It's very easy, anyone could do it. It's the ODE I use on my Saturn.

- Arabian version of what I believe is Emmerson Arcadia, but this doesn't work right anymore, my friend said he'd look into it and fix it but we never got around to it

- Commodore 64 - not a console but I've only ever used it as one so it's on the list I'm a huge fan
- NES - PAL B
- Famicom - original
- AV Famicom - my main Famicom
- Many Famiclones - all broken
- Bootleg NES - works
- SEGA Master System Model 1 and a few 2s but the Model 2s don't work anymore
- SEGA Mega Drive Model 1, Model 2 and Chinese Bootleg
- SNES - 2 PAL, 2 US NTSC systems
- PS1 - with parallel port for action replay, fully modded, region free, that's how they were sold here
- SEGA Saturn - 1 launch Japanese model which needs repairs, 1 PAL Model
- Panasonic 3DO - but this was a gift, no games and it won't read burnt games just music discs, so it doesn't count if I can't play it
- N64 - Pikachu, Jungle Green, Smoke Gray (this was a gift from a friend)
- Dreamcast - 2DCs my first one which I got the summer of 2000's laser died at the end of 2016 so I had to start using my backup, I should get an ODE
- PS2 - I have a few phat and a few slim ones, all modded and region free, just the way they were sold here
- XBox - I MUST get a backup, this one is starting to act weird, it was my main emulation system from 2003-2019, I played it to death, it was always hooked up to my CRT TVs

I don't own anything Xbox. Every 360 I've had have all red ringed and I've vowed vengeance by never buying another MS console again. But I do really want an OG Xbox to complete my 6th gen setup. Also would love to own stuff like a PC-Engine or NeoGeo but with the state of MiSTer I just can't justify the price of entry.

I think that covers it? Taking inventory makes me realize I should probably slim down a little. Most of these are all in boxes in the basement. Here's my current setup -

As crappy of a peripheral as it is, I'd quite like to own a 32x, but not for the sort of prices you see around online.

I already have a MegaDrive with a CD attachement, so I feel like the 32x just completes the tri-fecta. Also I could then legit play Knuckles Chaotix, though then I'd have to fork out for that too which barely seems worth it lmao

Not a whole lot sadly. Moved around a lot when I was a kid so I lost quite a bit of stuff. If you consider the PS3/360/Wii retro, I still own those. Still have my ancient PS2 but I want to mod one at some point. Also have a modded Xbox, and a dreamcast plus Saturn given to me by my best friend.
