By this I mean the cadence and composition of the lyrics would be considered traditional poetry if read aloud?
[I know this seems subjective but you'll see what I mean]

Not my fave song of theirs, but I reckon this fits the bill

Edit: Also I will add I'm not well versed enough in poetry to know when the cadence, meter, measure and whatever else of spoken or written word starts/stops being poetry.

Well the fun thing about poetry is it's different for everyone. :sneaky:

VNV Nation - Beloved

This is one example of many from this band

I'm not sure if this fits your description, but here it is. Also, here are the translated lyrics, since it's sung in French. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

I like everything by Enya.

Her songs are just... I don't know, but they speak to the part of my brain that handles calmness.

This song comes to mind.

Since it's in German I assume people are going to be skeptical, but lemme tell ya - this song had me bawling my damn eyes out back in the day, especially due to its backstory. Still does, really.
(The subtitles on that video are really wonky btw, just for the record)

There's also this song by Rammstein, but it might be cheating, since this version of it is practically a reading with musical accompaniment rather than a song.

Erin McKeown - You were right about everything.

Syrup by Slump AK, easily. Melody's so wonderful that it brings a tear to my eyes.

IDK mang, one of my high school (middle school?) literature teachers said this track was full of literary devices, foreshadowing among them.

...but to answer your question seriously? I dunno. I can't think of any, but good responses thus far from others.

There are an ocean of takes on this song, but this is perhaps my favorite. I learned about it via the game Déraciné (my profile banner).

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Magician's Assistant

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill

The lyrics may sound like goading you to stop everything
In a second listen, they are actually telling you to keep going and continue pushing forward, basically saying "the end will feel good, however you have to wait, in the meantime enjoy the travel"

Speaking Confidentitally is a killer song with beautiful vocals and lyrics
