"If you, salabon, think that this is “retro”, then I have racing stripes in my shorts - and those are much more “retro” than that.Если ты, салабон, считаешь, что это и есть «ретро», то у меня в трусах гоночные полоски — и те куда более «ретро», чем это.

- All glory to the mighty Flying Spaghetti Monster!"
Badseed, with all respect this is a pretty dumb answer.
You like it or not the 2000's and 2010's eras were about 10-20 years old. People that grew up on these eras are around 20-30 years old or at least are in their teen years.
Like @Ikagura said, "it's like if someone who grew up in the 50's considers that any music past the 70's is modern." Retro is about old things that aren't present anymore on these years and evokes nostalgia because the times of these things are over not about eras lol.
And yes, you have so many things from the 2000's and 2010's that aren't present anymore or are more niche or with a reduced popularity due to new things like the MP5, Messenger, the Emo era, the ancient internet or in this case consoles like the GBA that had games that were made with a style very different to... We say modern mobile games.
