What remasters would you want to see on the Nintendo Switch 2?

I should have been clear in my original post. I should have said games that are not currently remastered or are stuck on old systems that could be brought onto the Switch 2. No one needs the Legend of Zelda remaster remaster remastered edition.

I would love some GameCube remasters, maybe they could port over the HD Remasters of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. Now that ATLUS is making a Raidou Remaster, I hope they bring over some of the Shin Megami Tensei games, like Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2, or the 3DS Megaten games. Honestly, Nintendo has a lot of possibilities when it comes to remasters and ports, a lot of people aren't super sold on the Switch 2, and if they made more interesting announcements, I think that could change.

Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD obviously.

Punch Out and Kid Icarus as well but I really want to see actual new games for their IPs.

I would’ve preferred the Wii U versions of the GameCube Zeldas over a simple emulated port, but oh well.

F Zero GX, just so it will sell 200,000 units just to remind people that they don't want it and they only complain about Nintendo not making F Zero games because they're smiteful.

bravely second (NOT default 2) i like bravely default enough (it's basically FF5 and i love that class changing system) but Second made a LOT of noticable improvements while adding more content (gameplay wise, it has double the class choices of default, easier grinding by chain battles, better town building and multiplayer features, and just a better progression and balance, and doesn't timeloop like default, defaults story was like replaying the same game 5 times.)

kid icarus needs a REMAKE, not a upscale remaster and done, ground up remake! it's potentially the best 3DS game, it can be BETTER, dual stick controls ALONE would make it much more fun.

I think it's a crapshoot but give me a remaster of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. There exists a remaster of the PS1 version, so why not give us a remaster of its remake? It is a divisive remake but I do think it is overdue for a revaluation. If not that then remaster the previous smash bros. games or better yet, some 3DS exclusives like Shin Megami Tensei IV.

I'll take Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Also give me The Last Story while talking about Mistwalker.

While it's a controversial title, I'd love to see Devil's Third get ported. It stinks that it's stuck on the Wii U. Unlikely since it's not a particularly liked title, but I like it. It has that B movie charm that I love.

I'd also like to see stuff like Alpha Protocol and Binary Domain get another chance.

Nintendo's probably going to want me to rebuy every $60 Switch game that I bought when they release Switch 2 versions with higher resolutions, higher framerates, and additional content. I don't look forward to that because, well, I'm a sucker.

What's controversial about it? The quality?

Speaking of Wii U titles I wouldn't have said no for a Starfox Zero port if they added an option to remove the mandatory tablet gameplay but then again the game would still be short and easy.

Maybe porting 64 3D in HD would also be good if they still included gyro controls.

Yeah, the game got trashed. Honestly, I didn't find it that bad. It was a fun, campy action game. It did have some tech issues in terms of framerate and texture pop-in, though. I think it received more hate than it deserved because it had been hyped up for a long time as a THQ-published title under Danny Bilson's leadership alongside franchises like Metro and Darksiders, it was an Itagaki game so people expected something on par with Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden 2, and the game changed a lot from what it was supposed to be at THQ to what it ended up being once Nintendo became the publisher. Nintendo didn't even seem to have faith in it since they made it a Gamestop exclusive in the states.

I bought StarFox Zero at launch as a fan of both the franchise and Platinum, however those controls pretty much immediately turned me off. They were worse than Gunvalkyrie's.

Maybe if the VC rerelease of Chibi-Robo generates enough hubbub we could get a full-scale remake of the excellent DS game that never made it overseas.

Even though I will probably buy the console when I can jailbreak it, I'd LOVE if they did a remaster of any Kirby game from the Dark Matter trilogy (Kirby's Dreamland 2, 3 and Crystal Shards).

I would very much like it if they remastered all 3 together, though.

I'm geninely surprised they've never tried to remake 64.

Out of the three I think it aged the less well.

DL2 still holds up since it's based on DL1's engine. The DX romhack is perfect.

As for Dreamland 3 I'd love to see an Epic Yarn style remaster.
